I think I have always preferred shooting portraits in the studio because that allows me to control the light. One of the masters of controlling light is the world famous photographer Albert Watson. He is probably best known to the public as the man behind the black & white portrait of Steve Jobs, used on his biography. Recently I did a creative session with Raavyn and I based the shoot on a lighting style that Albert Watson used very effectiviely.
