And yet the Moe government ignores it and its economic potential.

This is how I call it a Guarnteed LIVEABLE Income ( Guarnteed Basic Income) would workI created this chart because I see some misunderstandings in posts on how ...Universal Basic Income generally works. I used $24,000 as the minimum income amount. I can't see another way to explain this except to give an example with numbers. Please correct me if I have gotten something wrong here (math or general assumptions) as I genuinely want to figure this out and be able to explain it to others. It is my understanding that this is the general model used in both the Mincome (Dauphin) & Ontario pilots but with different minimum income amounts. Here are some key points that I have found in my research about UBI: - Adding working income to UBI will always mean a higher income. - The system needs to be simple & clear so people can understand it. - UBI is not meant to provide an income for every want a person may have. It is designed to be a minimum, or floor, that everyone can count on. It should be an amount that will provide the basic necessities for most people. The basic necessities, in our society, include some disposable income for relaxation (entertainment, trips, eating out now and then etc.). - A progressive UBI is not designed to eliminate all other government assistance. Some programs can likely be scaled back or eventually eliminated. Other programs may need to be added to make sure people in special circumstances get the supports they need to live a good life. Any thoughts? Did I get the basic model correct? From UBI Facebook page
