It's that time of year again! Every year the RCCCS board raises fund for our financial aid programs that supports families in need that attends Rainbow Preschool and Treehouse After School Care. 25% of every order is put directly into these programs! Revised Treehouse Schedule As a result of Covid-19 and related staffing issues, Monday and Tuesday’s Treehouse programming will be temporarily closed. We are doing our best to offer full service and hope to resume shortly. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding

One of our programs is looking for some support. Hours are 2 - 6pm, at least three days a week, with potential for more hours if you want them. We are looking for someone who has experience caring for, and loves kids, and ideally has their Responsible Adult training (though we can help the right candidate get their certification if they don't). WALK BY YEAR END PRESCHOOL GOODBYE POSTPONED! NEW DATE: FRIDAY JUNE 19TH 10-12... Due to the rainy wet day and rainy forecast for Monday, we will postpone our Goodbye that was planned for today June 12 and Monday June 15 until Friday June 19th. WE WILL SEE BOTH GROUPS between 10am and 12pm ON JUNE 19TH. The forecast is for a Sunny day on Friday June 19th and we can Socially distance our selves at Flume Beach. Teachers will be at Flume Beach, Picnic area ready to wave and give virtual hugs to all children on: June 19th 10-12! Even a quick hello and connection will make our day! Treehouse Summer Camp - Closure We would like to thank everyone who participated in our Treehouse Day Camp Survey. With the information we received, we were able to make an informed decision as to what direction to go in moving forward. Over the past weeks, the Treehouse Team and our Board of Directors have had many discussions and with great sadness decided to suspend all summer camp operations for the summer of 2020. Given the COVID-19 crisis, we felt that we couldn’t en...sure the health and safety of our day campers, staff and community, which has always been our top priority. This will be the first time we have not operated our summer camp since opening it, in 2003. Despite this sad news, we are happy to see our community persevering in so many ways. We hope you and your family are able to remain safe and healthy during these times, and we look forward to the day when we all meet again in person. See more

Your invited to a walk by Year end Preschool Party We are practicing Social Distancing So, this year we are celebrating by having a walk by!... Teachers will be at Flume Beach, picnic area ready to wave and give virtual hugs to all the children on: 3-day Class Friday, June 12th from 10 12 2-day Class Monday, June 15th from 10-12 Families and children are encouraged to come and say goodbye to their teachers and classmates on the scheduled day. We will have the children’s scrapbooks ready to pick up, as well as a Beach Scavenger Hunt, you and your family can participate in. We hope to see you there!

Just a reminder to families: Registration for Rainbow Preschool 2020/21 ends tomorrow evening. Please drop off your registration package to the centre or email it to [email protected]

2020/2021 Registration Time! Rainbow Preschool registration has two phases: early registration and general registration. Early registration:... Takes place until April 17th and is for: Children of staff working in the program Children already in the program that wish to return the following year Siblings of children currently enrolled in, and attending, our programs Siblings of children previously enrolled in Rainbow (within last 5 years) Children of RCCCS Board members Children remaining on the waitlist from the previous school year General registration: Is for all other applicants and takes place April 17 - April 24 Increasing demand for our preschool program means that unfortunately we are not always able to accommodate every family interested in attending Rainbow. If there are more applicants than available spaces, a lottery system will be used to assign spots. Families successful in the lottery will be contacted by phone and email and will have until April 30th to contact the Operations Manager to secure a spot. Applicants who do not make contact by April 30th will lose their spot. PLEASE NOTE: To secure an Early Registration or General Registration spot, families must have completed all necessary registration forms. In years past, we have required the registration fee and membership fee’s paid at this time, do to the current situation RCCCS will request these payments at a later date. Families who are unsuccessful in the lottery will be placed on the waitlist, and notified via email. Waitlist If a given day/program fills up, a waitlist is maintained should a space become available. Only children old enough to enrol in that particular school year may be placed on this waitlist.

Good Morning I’m really missing everyone and hope you are all doing well! I posted a fun little story on You Tube : Andrea Rainbow Preschool! I am really out of my comfort level doing this but it’s for fun and trying to just have fun with it!! Enjoy your day it sure has been beautiful out and Spring is all around us.
