For some people, calorie counting is super effective. In my experience though, that is not the case for most. Entering your foods into an app can be tedious and time-consuming, especially if the food you just ate isn't in your app. My approach is the teach my clients about portion control. Based on their body type, age, height, and weight we can get a ballpark idea of the number of portions they need of each macronutrient.
