C’est avec une grande tristesse et une immense émotion que nous avons appris aujourd’hui la disparition de Laurent Boix-Vives. Président emblématique de l’entr...eprise pendant près de 50 ans, de 1956 à 2005, il s’est éteint le jeudi 18 juin à l’âge de 93 ans. Rossignol perd sa figure emblématique, qui a su faire d'un petit atelier artisanal à Voiron le premier groupe mondial de ski. Laurent Boix-Vives a certainement écrit l'une des plus belles pages entrepreneuriales du XXe siècle, et a su populariser la pratique des sports d'hiver en France et dans le monde. Ceux qui ont eu la chance de le côtoyer se souviennent d'un homme profondément humain, à l'écoute, exigeant et toujours bienveillant. Il a su nous transmettre son sens du détail et des choses bien faites. Nous perdons aujourd'hui un symbole, un mentor et un ami. Laurent Boix-Vives fut un industriel visionnaire et un des grands personnages de l’industrie du ski et du développement des sports d’hiver en France et dans le monde. Entrepreneur passionné, après avoir notamment participé à la création et au développement de la station de Courchevel, il rachète, à 29 ans, en 1956, Rossignol et en fera le leader mondial du ski en misant sur l’innovation et l’internationalisation. Il fut également toujours très proche des champions et des athlètes et a mis la compétition au cœur des valeurs de l’entreprise. De 1956 à 2005, Laurent Boix-Vives a imprimé son énergie, sa rigueur et sa vision. C’est une personnalité indissociable de Rossignol, société à laquelle il a dédié sa vie. A provisional (?) calendar of the 2020/2021 world cup has been released. As usual many more technical races which I find stupid because speed athletes have no c...hance to win the big cup and also because speed event are much more spectacular to watch. Men's side: 10 SL + 9 GS + 4 PL =23 technical races versus 10 DH + 6 SG = 16 speed events Women's side: 9 SL + 9 GS + 3 PL = 21 technical races versus 9 DH + 6 SG = 15 speed events On a positive side AC is still in the calendar (3 for men and 2 for women). Other positive note is that they introduced a new location, Lech-Zürs around mid november, it shortens the too long break between Sölden and Levi. See more
