Anyone else cleaning and purging and wondering where all this stuff came from? With three kids we have a lot of stuff.... it finds it ways onto counters and shelves and drawers. I struggle to keep up. I love clean, minimal spaces but I also love pretty things and have a really hard time getting rid of anything that was my kids. When I’m in a rush I tend to pile things, I always intend to return to them but then get busy. Drives my husband nuts. I also buy a lot of organizat...ional bins. If bin-a-holics was a thing I’d be a VIP I am trying to get better systems in place. After our move we put things away but didn’t put a lot of thought into what we use each area for. Any tips and suggestions would be so appreciated or if you are a fellow piler or bin-a-holic feel free to say hi! Oh and this is not what my spaces look like most of the time. This is post cleaning like a mad woman. I just wish it didn’t take a full day to get back to this

It’s been a hard 24 hours over here. I had my Covid vaccine yesterday and we ended our breastfeeding journey. As a frontline nurse in Emergency it is recommended that I vaccinate. I am so hopeful that the vaccines will decrease Covid and lessen the illness in those that do get sick. I also hope that my constant worry that I have put my family at risk due to a mistake or a slight error in judgement while working will now start to subside as well. Like most medications and va...ccines there are not many clinical trials on pregnant or nursing women due to ethical reasons. The Covid vaccine is similar. They can not say it is safe if there is not evidence to back that up. I decided that any theoretical risk was too much and that we would wean and conclude our breastfeeding journey. I know my little guy is old enough and he will do well. But my heart is so heavy and sad. My last baby is a little less of a baby today and I’m having a tough time with that. Please be kind. I hope you respect that my decisions for my family were educated and made with love.

Joy! These two sure know how to bring the joy! I can’t look at this picture and not feel it! As an adult sometimes I forget and then they remind me. Joy isn’t only for the best of times or when everything is perfect. It’s for every day. So play outside, laugh until it hurts, have hot chocolate with a ridiculous amount of marshmallows, and spend time with those you love! ... Tell me what brings you joy? And then make sure you go do it!

Lest we forget I love where I live. Canada is a beautiful country but what I cherish most is our freedom. I raise my children knowing peace. It can be easy to take for granted something you have always known but our freedom wasn’t just given to us. It was won, through the great sacrifice of many men and women. Today we remember them and thank those that fought and those that still serve to uphold our freedoms.

Starting to sprinkle Christmas around the house For the first time I’m decorating the kids’ rooms. The girls have their own little tree. I love all of their colourful choices especially the pink and red combo (remember when that was a huge no-no?) I tend towards more neutral colours but I’m loving this cheery change! ... Do you have a theme for your tree or decor? I think it is so cool how everyone has their own style and I would love to hear what you chose for this year!

Anyone can dream it.... Avery’s shirt says what I have been thinking about a lot lately. My biggest hope is that my children have an amazing life. Our world is changing so much and there have been times that I have felt powerless. But we aren’t. We can create a better life, a better world every single day. This past year our recycling programs changed. Most plastic is no longer recyclable. I literally have laid awake thinking about all the plastic I use and how it is now end...ing up in landfills. As a family we have started making little changes where we can. We are learning and we still have a long way to go. I had been looking at laundry options when @truearthmovement gifted me these laundry strips. No plastic packaging . That tiny strip in Avery’s hand is all it takes to do a load of laundry. I feel so much better about this option and not to mention how my laundry cupboard looks (swipe to see). Have you made any changes? I’d love to hear and learn from you.

Four Four years of loving you. I can not believe you turn four tomorrow. My sweet, independent, optimistic baby girl. You make every day better. You constantly tell me I am the best mommy in the whole world (even when I feel like I am not) and that you love me SO much. I hope you know and feel how loved you are. We are headed to visit Grandparents this weekend! We usually fly, but with Covid, we are driving instead. It will be an epic 2 day road trip and I am equal parts excited and nervous! I know a lot of us are traveling by car more these days so Im sharing my favourite travel tips and have linked an article I wrote in my bio! ... - Pack a comfort back pack for each child. Include their favourite lovie or blankie, toys, books (tablet for older kids), snacks, water, wipes, more snacks and a change of clothes (posted my one year olds in stories) - Try to travel during nap time - Get out and stretch every 2-3 hours - Plan for extra stops and time - If you have a toddler or older kids bring a potty, wipes and a garbage bag (to line the toilet in case of m the you can tie, toss and go) - If your vehicle has a DVD player rent or buy some new movies to help entertain them - Be patient. My little baker! We were up early, so we baked some blueberry bran muffins. My kids love fresh muffins but I dont always have the time to bake from scratch. I cant let National Dog Day pass by without a pic of Olive. She is our sweet Covid puppy. We got her to help our kiddos deal with the loss of their friends when we were all on isolation. Somehow she has become 100% my dog, Im not complaining, Ill take sweet puppy snuggles any day.

Welcome to our fixer upper! The girls are thrilled to have their own little playhouse! We bought this little house off buy and sell and washed, painted and decorated her up. I love all the little details: it is a mini version or our own house down to the modern house number. After Every Storm Comes A Rainbow Today is #nationalrainbowbabyday If you dont know what a rainbow baby is it is a baby that is born after a loss of a pregnancy or child. ... I had 3 losses and now I have 3 beautiful rainbow babies. This is my youngest and fastest of the bunch! If you are pregnant with a rainbow baby I know you are probably excited, happy, nervous and anxious. I felt I had a hard time enjoying pregnancy because I always worried that this one may also not last. I was scared to open my heart to feel that devastating loss once again. If you have welcomed your rainbow baby I know that your journey may not have been what you hoped for. I hope you can continue to find the beauty in every day with your sweet babe. If you have just suffered a loss or are still waiting for your rainbow, my heart is with you. I am praying that you are blessed with a sweet rainbow baby of your very own soon. True story.... when I found out I was pregnant with a boy I didnt believe it. I had 2 girls and was sure we would have a third girl. I was scared I wouldnt know how to be a boy mom.
