Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Please join us to remember and honour those who lost their lives due to anti-transgender violence this evening at the West End Commons Neighbourhood Resource Centre. 365 McGee St. Doors at 6:30... Event at 7:00 Trans allies & friends: This is a very special and important event in our community, for many many reasons.This is the time of year we mourn our losses and celebrate our culture and resilience. Programming will include Rainbow Warriors with drumming and song, celebration of the lives of lost loved ones locally and internationally, and an invitation for community members to share words during the event. There will be space at the end of the program for connecting with community.

When: Wednesday, October 16 12:00-12:50 pm Where: Robson Hall room 206 Karen will be speaking to important 2SLGBTQ+ topics in human rights law. She is the A/Executive Director with the Manitoba Human Rights Commission, which is responsible for administering The Human Rights Code, co-chairs the Board of Directors of the Women’s Health Clinic and is an organizer with Queer People of Colour Winnipeg.
