With a challenging route, some of the best Canadian tuxedos & Sunshine to end off the day, Our first ever RedNeck Duo was a success! A Huge Thank You to all of the participants & volunteers. A special thank you to the following for help making our event such a success. McBride Search & Rescue (Steven Eyben) for being on site for emergencies. ... Mt. Robson Cafe & Roasted Bean coffee for their generous donation of coffee & water bottles. McBride Husky (Kevin Taphorn) for donating slushies as part of the kids races. Robson Valley Home Hardware for the use of their pop-up tents Andru McCracken for being our photographer for the afternoon. The Hansen's for donating the food for the BBQ. Brian Taphorn for cooking all the burgers & hotdogs for the afternoon. Come check out our First Ever RedNeck Duathalon this Sunday, September 16th & maybe even get your hands on one of these hats (I heard there is a chance for prizes for those that participate)

McBride Mountain Trails Events: *See Date Change* Find a partner and join us for McBride's first ever Duathlon: The RedNeck Duo! The RVMBA will also be hosting a Kids' Race & a post-race BBQ. ... Event Details The RedNeck Duathlon is a team run/bike relay type of event. Meet at Koeneman Park with your partner wearing your best Canadian tuxedos. Runners and riders will be shuttled up to the trailhead parking lot area on McBride Mountain. Runners will take off first at 10am to tackle a challenging 8km loop. Runners finish in the parking lot, shotgun a bubbly beverage and & tag their bike partner for the second half of the event. Bikers cross the finish line and shotgun their bubbly bevarage. Trail maps of the route will be available on the day of the event. FAQs What's a Canadian Tuxedo? Denim. Lots of denim. Do I need a partner? Nope! You can choose to race solo, but you still have to shotgun a bevvie! (Actually, you'll have to shotgun two). Does this event cost anything? There is no cost to participate in the event.
