Sundays in my house are relaxing, productive days. Meals are prepped, laundry is done, many cups of tea are dranken, and I flip flop between colouring and reading. I like to think of Sundays as days to set my intentions for the week. What do I hope to accomplish in my workouts? With my clients? What are my goals for the week? Sundays are like hitting the reset button. What happened last week happened. This new week is full of opportunities. What are Sundays like for you at your house?

Since I spend most of my time in my bookstore, I thought I should add my personal training business cards with the bookstore ones! I’m always available to chat about books or personal training at the shop, so don’t be afraid to stop by and ask as many questions as you want. I may even have some answers

I’m looking ahead at what course to take this year, and these two jumped out at me! Strength training? Kettlebells? Both?? Which would YOU take?

I’m not the only one who can’t bear to take down Christmas yet, right? I’m slowly working my way through Becoming a Supple Leopard and man, is it jam-packed with such good information! I can’t wait to weave this stuff with the training programs for my clients.

Journaling is something new I’ve taken up, and while right now it’s a bit of a chore to make it a habit, I’m determined to spend a few minutes each day scribbling down my thoughts, even if they seem silly. I’ve found it’s helping me with my anxiety, and it’s a great place to work out my ideas for workouts, my clients, and training schedule. Do you journal? What do you like the most about it?

My training calendar for 2021 is starting to fill up! I’m excited to see what the new year has in store for my clients and for me! Goals for 2021: increase my one-rep max for my five major lifts by five pounds; train five clients consistently; and get certified in either kettlebell kickboxing, Zumba, or healthy nutrition! What are your goals for 2021?

These muffins have become a weekly staple for me. They’re so filling and tasty! Flourless banana peanut butter chocolate chip muffins are easy to make and last for the whole week, making for a great morning snack. What’s your favourite food you meal prep every week?

How many people find it hard to get in enough rest/recovery time during your busy week? Just me? I didn't think so. Making sure you rest and recover, especially the days following your workouts, is important! It may seem like you're "slacking off" but in reality, your body needs that recovery time. Getting enough rest actually helps improve your performance in the gym. It can increase your energy level, prevents muscle fatigue, reduces your risk of injury, and helps you sleep... better! For anyone that knows me, it should come as no surprise that one of the ways I rest up after an intense workout is by reading! Even 30 minutes of reading is enough to make me feel more relaxed -- but I usually go for longer What do you do to make sure you get your rest in?

2020 has been a crazy year, but it's had some amazing moments. I officially started personal training clients, and I've learned a lot not only about how to train, but who I want to work with. I want to train people who want to make a change, but don't know where to start; people who are managing chronic pain and won't let it stand in their way; people who want to improve their mobility; people who are ready to commit to a lifestyle change, not just a quick fix. If this sound...s like you, let's start off 2021 with a bang! If you renew your current program with me before December 31, 2020 for the new year, you'll receive 10% off your program package! If you're a new client and you commit to at least a 12-week program with me before December 31, 2020, you'll receive 20% your program package! Message me with a HELL YEAH and let's get the conversation started
