Christmas ornament take-and-make bags are ready for pick up! Come by anytime the library is open in December to get yours bags. I will be posting some video instructions for the ‘young at heart’ take-and-make bags soon for you and your crafters to follow along with. Feel free to share pictures of your ornaments in the comments of this post or by tagging the Reocanville Public Library to your own post. Happy crafting!

The Estevan Public Library Branch is hosting a virtual author reading this Thursday, December 10 at 6:00 PM. This reading will be held over Zoom, and all members of the Southeast Regional Library are welcome to join! Click the link below to join the Zoom reading on December 10.

Christmas is going to look a different for all of us this year, but we still want to celebrate with you! Help us decorate the library Christmas Tree by mailing us a ‘letter’. Write or draw a picture about a Christmas tradition, memory, or wish. Leave it in our Christmas mail box by the library door and we will hang it on our tree. We’ll be posting update pictures of the tree up until Dec. 23. We want to decorate our tree from top to bottom, so get the whole family involve and send your traditions, memories and wishes in!

Story Time is back! Since we can only have 5 people in the library at a time, we thought we would bring story time to your little ones. This week’s story is the folktale Stone Soup. We will have story time every other week, with the next two on December 9 and December 23. You can also find this story on the Southeast Regional Library YouTube channel as well.

Christmas will look a little different this year, but some traditions will never change. The library will still have ornament for you to make for your tree! We will be creating two kinds of take-and-make bags: one for kids (10 and under) and one for the young at heart (11 and up). If you are interested in either project (or both) please leave a comment on this post with which ornament you would like and how many you will need. These will be ready for pick up on December 9th at 2:00 PM.
