Seasonal are enjoying this great weather right now Our members in storage also can camp. cheaper than a seasonal with up to 180 day of usage for the year. FACT SHEET Revised 15 May 2020 COVID-19 Guidance for Private Campgrounds As of May 16th, 2020, private... campgrounds/ RV parks are permitted to open to enable preparation for the season and to allow access for trailers and recreational vehicles whose owners have a full season contract. Public access is still not allowed. Group amenities including pools, play areas etc. are to remain closed at this time. Rules regarding gatherings of no more than 5 are still in place. Please contact your campground to learn more about safe practices and steps going forward. Examples of things to remain closed: Pools / spas / splash pads Playgrounds Communal amenities such as washrooms, shower facilities Group facilities Rental of sporting equipment Examples of things allowed to open: Snack bar/on site restaurant may be open for takeout only as per provincial guidance for Restaurant and food services. Who is allowed in and can they stay the night? Owners who have a full season contract and their immediate household members are allowed. Overnight use is not encouraged, but it may be permitted by the campground owner, if the RV units are self-sufficient in terms of toilet facilities. Owners of RVs are encouraged to bring all supplies they would need for the duration of their stay, to avoid overwhelming local businesses. What facilities can be open within the park? No communal facilities should be open at this time. Who is enforcing the provincial rules within the park (5 people per site, physical distancing around the park)? This should be managed by park owners and staff as much as possible. All businesses have an obligation to take active measures to protect the health and safety of their workers and patrons. Police can be contacted at their non-emergency line as in any situation where users are not complying with the rules and putting others at risk. Will they be expected to post signage around the park and if so, what signage and where? Signage to advise residents and users of the restrictions are a recommended practice, and for employee health and safety, specific signage may be required.
