The trailer spoke of earlier in posts made its way to Cranbrook. Two of the boats (2 and 4x) have been cleaned up (thanks rowers and parents for making this happen), gear figured out and the 2x has been moved to Jimsmith in prep to row. Still need to work on the other 5 boats and find a location to house the 8+ on a big lake like Moyie. Will be doing some fundraising to purchase the coach boat/trailer and motor from Creston. Once purchased they will be donating the money in their community.
Video came before the empty nest.
When your boat structure has no sides and your oar storage is in the upper reaches there is no telling what might happen if you leave an oar face up. There was a family of 5, two parents, 3 chicks. What a delight to see nature at work. Watch for video.
Grad Emily Sartorel on Jimsmith Lake.
Here is a trailer with boats waiting for a new home. You can see the trailer has Creston Valley Osprey Rowing Club. Under those letters is the name place, Vancouver (Rowing Club). The remaining members of CVORC have decided to fold the club. Our club is the fortunate recipient of boats with riggers/seats/foot stretchers, oars, and a trailer. Thanks Creston VORC. More to come about this post.
