Today’s balayage.

Safety first.....but make it fashion! Today I bribed a three year old to stay in bed all night by offering three colours of spray. Wonder if it will work? @skfikagirl My almost two year old was up at 2:45.... hope you had better luck!

We are slowly but surely taking Angie lighter. She has allllllllot of hair, which usually takes us around 4 hours. Her hair also holds on at that level 8 orange underlying pigment, which we learned on the first appointment, and was reminded of again after hair painting. As a hairdresser, you learn that not everyone’s hair is textbook and there can be twists along the way. I mean, if I really wanted to I could have blasted open her cuticle with 30 vol and voila blonde. However, the integrity and health of her hair is most important. Toned with lumishine Demi liquid 1/2 7v + 1/2 7sb + 5 vol. It turned out so beautiful. Next appointment we will be focusing on her interior! Sometimes our goal hair takes time and patience.

Today’s before and afters. We chopped a good 6 inches off and boy did it need it. Lea’s hair is now short enough that she won’t get headaches and long enough that she can still pull her hair back while doing her favorite hobby; canoeing!
