We're currently showing oil paintings by Victoria based artist Ben Van Netten.
We are thrilled to present this month's exhibition, featuring the work of resident Rockslide artist, Ian George. Made of scavenged beach plastics, this sculptural installation is a response to the artist's internal conflict regarding the necessity to produce waste as a bi-product of the artistic process. Be sure to stop by and see these works in person. Show runs until May 5th.
This month's exhibition features the work of Earthfolk. Earthfolk hails from Calgary, Alberta. He is primarily a painter, street artist, and all-around gifted imbecile. In this exhibition his work deals primarily with the intricacies of romance, intense ambivalence, and the balance between feeling empowered and feeling like a stupid jackass. He explores these personal experiences through private and convoluted symbols, as well as through dramatic poetic statements.
Our current exhibition features the work of resident Rockslide artist, Nicole Neidhardt. Nicole is Navajo, American, Canadian, and has Scottish, German, and French roots. Her art is a doorway into the Navajo culture she grew up with, a way to translate her Navajo identity into her everyday contemporary reality. She explores this relationship through the media of painting, reflective mylar stenciling, and painted collage. Her work is the result of a mental balancing act that is continually going on in her day to day interactions between her Navajo self and her contemporary self.
Now showing: Mixed media collaborative works by Mikhail Miller. Featuring Kristofer Ray and Rachel Zrad
