After a year of hard work, Ben and Venus finally gets a little break! We will be closed for a little vacation time in Hong Kong until early February. We would like to sincerely thank all you lovely Eastshorers for your continued support and have yourselves a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Reviewed 22 July 2014 17 in our CFUW group ate here after a wonderful historical tour of Grey Creek and the service was excellent! We arranged our orders by groups of fives and ordered a dinner for five for each group. Several other people ordered vegetarian and in no time we were all served our drinks,pots of tea, and a spring roll if it came wit...h the meal.The meals were brought out very quickly and all of the food was delicious and fresh! I have recommended it to many and will go back again soon. Wow, great food in Crawford Bay! Reviewed 12 June 2014 We have just returned from a golf trip to Crawford Bay, BC where we had dinner at the Rockwood Cafe, a small establishment that we probably would have overlooked had it not been for the other couple we were with who had been there on a previous trip to the Koots. What a shame that would have been! Dinner was HANDS DOWN the BEST Chinese food we have ever tasted! It was served promptly, very hot, and obviously VERY fresh! We tasted seven different dishes, and every one was outstanding! Makes the best Chinese restaurant in our hometown seem inadequate, We have not stopped raving about it to friends and family since our return. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Thank you for all of your support in 2012. Sunday, December 30th will be our last night of opening before the Winter break. We will resuming regular service again from around the 20th of January. Happy new years!

Who would expect to find GREAT Chinese food in a small community like Crawford Bay (East shore of Kootenay Lake) in the West Kootenay Region of British Columbia. Well....look no further than the Rockwood Cafe! Quality of food is as good if not better than Chinese Restaurants located in much bigger Centres. Excellent well-priced menu selection and we were looked after by Calvin who did a great job in serving us. Strongly recommended stop if in the area although I understand that weekends in the summer over the dinner period get very busy.........no big surprise considering what they deliver! Don't be 'discouraged' by the outside 'appearance' of the Cafe. It's the food/Service that makes your visit worth it. See more
