Since our last official update there has been a ton happening in the background. Over 800,000 tonnes to be specific! That’s how much dirt has been moved since our ground-breaking just over 8 weeks ago, and accounts for almost 50% of the entire earthmoving required. To make that number possible, construction crews have been working day and night24 hours per day five days a week, and 12 hours per day on weekendslaying the foundation for this circuit. We get asked this a lot, and while we support all forms of motorsport, this development will not have a drag strip. In the Bylaw that the County passed to approve the development, specific clauses were inserted during the approval process that prohibits drag racing or a drag strip. So while there is no drag racing available at RMM, our goal is to play a key role in fostering the continued growth of all motorsports in Alberta.

This past week we reached an important and exciting milestone, and we've been busy ever since making as much construction progress as possible with cooperative weather. While we understand that those who have been following this development are as excited as we are, it is important to remind everyone that this is an active construction site and that public access is not permitted anywhere on the property. Further, the surrounding road system is not designed for shoulder parking and this impedes both construction traffic and local traffic.
