Happy Friday I definitely haven’t been consistent posting on here, but social media just isn’t something I spend a lot time on anymore. I’m still training hard (and getting my ass kicked twice a week by @upanadam ), and feeling great. Feeling more and more confident in what I am doing, my body is adapting well but the BEST part is that I can’t remember the last time I felt this good physically and mentally. Every single change I have made the last several months has paid... off in so many ways; thanks to @whoop my schedule is a lot more consistent which has had a major impact on my sleep Anyways, I just thought I’d pop on to say HI!! How is everyone doing?? Always carrying my @northcoastnaturals shaker these days. Protein is my main focus right now, so today is two scoops of ISO-100 vanilla with Fermented Glutamine and Ultimate Fibre Right. Mental health matters IG LIVE As discussed on the weekend, I will be doing a LIVE with anyone who wants to participate. Check out the details below. Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of discussions about mental health, and how physical activity can help reduce anxiety, depression, boost the immune system and improve a persons overall quality of life. I was blessed to have some very open conversations with people about their struggles and it made me realize ju...st how many people are struggling right now. Even though the gyms are opening up, it won’t change the fact that people are suffering and feel alone because of all the other restrictions and mandates. A close friend suggested I do a live so we can have a real and raw conversation. I want people to express themselves and what they are feeling as a way to spread awareness and provide a safe outlet for validation and acceptance. So I ask anyone and everyone that would be willing to join me, to mark your calendar for 3pm Sunday January 30th. The new year is just around the corner, and unfortunately a lot of influencers and coaches will push the fad diets, 30 day challenges and the cleanse type nutrition plans. I will never be the type of coach that promotes these types of things, because it goes against what I believe in and stand for as a brand. All I want is for people to feel strong and healthy; period. I come from a more holistic angle which focuses on a sustainable lifestyle. Fuelling the body, promote... good digestion, achieve high energy levels, good mood, solid sleep patterns, and using only natural supplements to give a boost when needed. Hello bench PR _ Pretty stoked on hitting my current comp max of 50kgs from November 2019, for a triple today! Laura had planned for a double, but decided that rep two was too easy and told me to go for another. Had at least one more in me too, STOKED!! _ I have had the most annoying mental block with this era guy for so long, and today o broke through it. I don’t post my clients enough, so here’s one hard working lady that has made incredible progress. Over the past 2.5 months we have working on regular strength training (4 days a week), with minimal cardio aside from her boxing on Saturdays. We worked on establishing a baseline for macros, and are now working on slow and steady calorie increases to help with lean gains. ... Nothing drastic, and she has lost 6lbs and over 6inches since August. It just goes to show you how eating well, eating enough and more structured training can help with composition changes. Gotta love when things feel _ The previous two weeks deadlifts have felt a bit rough, and heavier than they did today. After all the squats prior, I figure it could be partly to do with lower energy from lack of food going in. So today, I carb loaded all morning - maybe that helped? Who knows _ Either way after two sets of tempo squats and four sets of squats, deadlifts felt amazing today. Felt lighter, smoother and tighter than previous weeks. That post workout glow _ I took a few extra days off this past week, not intentionally, but I did feel like my body needed to just recharge and from an intense couple of weeks. Between work, training, and spending a lot of time getting my gym ready to open to the public, I was feeling pretty fatigued. _ I wasnt motivated to train yesterday, but as I wrote my group training workout on the board, I thought why not, Im just going to do it for something totally different.... I am very excited to announce the launch of 'Studio Drop in'! Why am I so excited? It will allow people to train in a completely private studio, for 90 mins at a booked time of their preference**. COVID-19 has changed how a lot of people approach going out, whether it is to the grocery store, the hardware store, or even just being out of the house at parks and beaches. The gym community is a positive and motivating one, but right now going to a larger facility can create add...itional anxiety for some people. Over the last year or so, I have wanted to work on getting a system in place for people of all ages and fitness levels to come and workout in my studio - IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! The studio is officially open!! Group training starts Tuesday May 26th, and I have one more spot open for Tuesday night's 6pm class! :) $12 drop in, with all COVID-19 guidelines being following: ... -Hand sanitizer provided upon entry -Every participate is given a sanitized spray bottle for cleaning their stations/equipment -Clean towels provided: A new clean towel is to be used at each station prior to moving to the next station. I am focusing on the most environmentally friendly process while keeping the studio as clean as possible -Stations are set at least 6' apart, and physical distancing between rounds must be adhered to at all times unless you are in the same family. -PPE recommended unless you are training with family, but not provided by RYBF -No large bags are to be brought it at this time, small purses and keys can be placed on the sanitized shelf. -Water cooler is functioning, however handle must be clean after use. COMING SOON.... (hoping for June 1st) RYBF private studio access! I am working on all the legal avenues to open up my studio to those that would prefer to train in a private gym, versus a large commercial one. ... Concept: -Private access to the RYBF studio to perform 60m workouts -Hours will be limited to 8am-7pm Monday through Friday, weekends are still to be determined. -Online booking system, with payment link -Custom workouts created for those who want them Upgrades are being made to some equipment, and there will be necessary precautions needed by each person (cleaning etc.). Still to be determined: fees, and initial showing of the gym for those that haven't been a client of mine the last 3 years. My hope is to create a boutique style gym, that allows people to train on their own or with a partner in private and a clean safe environment. This has been a dream of mine for the last couple years, and it becoming a reality is something I am very excited about. Please feel free to comment or DM me with any inquires or questions. Throw back to 2014, and our wedding trip Barbados _ With everything going on, Ive been reflecting a lot on all the amazing experiences Ive had in my life and this trip is by far the most memorable. Two weeks in Barbados, our wedding, time in a beautiful place with some of our closest friends, and all the time in the world to explore, relax and just be. _ Its experiences like this that keep me hopeful that we will get back to a place where new memories can be created. ...
