Betty’s early morning Chinook. All though not a derby winner it’s still a nice one. 21 pounds!
There’s been some pretty awesome fishing going on around here the past few days! We have just had a cancelation for August 30-September 1 if anyone one wants to get in on the action.
Getting tired of all the smoke on the water the last few days but the fishing has been on fire Were feeling sad for all our friends in the USA that are having it worse than us. Wishing you all the best. Stay safe
No derby winner for us but a great weekend.

Leyf helped his dad and papa reel in some nice springs today near Bamfield. #rockypointcharters #bamfieldfishingreports

Great morning fishing at Bamfield. Lots of laughs fishing with this crew. Never a dull moment!#rockypointcharters#bamfieldfishingreports
Another great morning of Chinook and Coho fishing. Started out just 5 minutes from the dock!
Sunny skies and hungry fish makes for happy guys.
It was a soggy, windy morning! These guys still got it done with a nice bunch of fish.
It was a wet and soggy morning but the Chinooks and Coho were biting.
Great day fishing near Bamfield today. Some nice springs and Coho. #rockypointcharters
A good morning haul of Chinooks near Bamfield today. I think Robertson Creek fish have arrived in the area.
Not the best of pics but you can see these ladys had some smiles and laughs reeling in some nice fish topped by a 26 pounder today.
Some of whats been going on the last few days. Fishing is really starting to fire up in the Bamfield area!
Theres a reason they call them Smileys!
Double trouble to start the day. Some nice springs up to 26 pounds on the inside today.
A great morning of fishing. Followed up by a 19 mile tow home. Big thanks to Breakers Marine in Bamfield for bolting on a new 300 and were ready to go for tomorrows fishing. As fast as a NASCAR pit stop.
Put a Tag Cabo Sportfishing decal on the boat today to support our Cabo amigos. If catching a Marlin, huge Yellowfin, or other pelagic fish is on your bucket list these guys will get it done.
Its Tyee time today!
A few nice halibut and Chinook but fishing is not really on fire
Whopper Wednesday today! No Tyee but these guys definitely put some nice Chinooks and Lingcod on the dock.
Tyee Tuesday! These guys and girls put the second Tyee of the year in the boat along with some more quality Chinooks.
Salmon fishing sucked for me this morning so we turned it in to a Halibut day.
It was an ugly morning out there today but the fish were biting. Fished the morning tide change for Salmon and then went into the sound looking for Halis but had no luck there.
The Halibut came pretty fast today.
Had a pretty decent Spring bite this morning and then encountered a pretty large Sunfish when jigging a few bottom fish.
Who wants to fish in June? We have had cancelation from a customer that has been devastated by the hail in Alberta and cant make it the end of next week
I had a couple guys out for a quick morning fish. They kept their limit of Chinook and released a few others as well.
A couple pics from todays catch of Alisons nice Chinook and Bettys two Coho. These are the first Coho for us this year in Barkley sound.
Maja got her first ever Halibut, fishing inside Barkley Sound today with Rocky Point Charters.
Just hiding from the wind this gang caught a nice limit of Chinook topped by a 23 pounder and a bonus Coho as well. Great day in Bamfield.
Its kind of a windy and rainy day in Barkley Sound but theres just enough fish to make it a great day.
Wow! It turned out to be a great day. The sun was shining and the fish were biting. Bamfield is a great place to be.
Our play time is over for the day.
When your client bails at the last minute, what are you supposed to do? May as well go fishing.
I just have to say, I love where we are at during this weird time. From a morning of Halibut to an afternoon of hotdogs, Bamfield is a great place to be.
I guess Im on a roll with Lighthouse Lure products right now. I pulled this spoon out of the package 20 minutes ago. The first thing I noticed was how tough it was and the quality Mustad hook. Then it worked!
I dont often promote products on my Facebook page but this one deserves attention. Ive been a big fan of swim baits for Lingcod for years now and they all catch fish but the Lighthouse Lures Max Shad has to be the most durable lure out there. These things just last forever unless you leave it on the bottom.
