My client’s Story Hi everyone, I want to share a story with you about one of my clients. She has given me her permission to share her story. She is a single mo...ther with 3 kids. She has 18 months to live. She has used my services for more than 10 years having purchased investments and life/critical illness policies from me. In the past few years, she had a messy life due to a scammer, someone stole from her bank account; as a result, her life/critical illness policies lapsed for non-payments. About a year ago, she was diagnosed with brain cancer and found out that her policies had lapsed. Generally, if anyone wants to apply for reinstatement of life/critical illness insurance back with retroactive payment, that person must be healthy in order to be considered. After chatting with her, I found out the reason why she failed to make the payment to keep insurance. I wrote a letter the insurer to explain these reasons. Having clearly outlined the reasons why I believe she should be granted the reinstatement her application was approved and she was able to claim her critical illness payment. As her advisor, this is the outcome I worked really hard for.
