Just a little refresh on how to do a pre-trip
As an essential service, we as a business must do what we have to do to stay open and available for breakdowns and repairs to keep that toilet paper rolling! As of today November 14, 2020, customers must wear masks if in our facility. We do have disposable masks if you do not have your own. Customers will be encouraged to drop their unit and arrange for a ride. We will not be able to shuttle customers anymore. If this is not an option we have a drivers room that is cleaned between patrons. Keys and trucks will be sanitized before work starts and after the unit is parked, to give our customers the assurance their unit is cleaned and ready to go back to work. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Stay safe everyone, we are about to get into the thick of it!
No matter your stance on mask wearing, please respect the fact that the employee at the public place you are in, asking you to wear one, is still a human being. They didn’t ask for any of this. They just want to do their jobs. Please be kind!
These new signs are replacing DriveBC signs across the province. 511 is the best phone number for DriveBC information, and is easy to read and remember while... travelling at highway speed. Pull over to phone, or ask your passenger to make the call. The 24/7 automated phone service reports the same information displayed on the DriveBC mobile and desktop websites.
We want to thank all servicemen and women for their service and their sacrifices. #lestweforget
Variable speed limits are now in operation on Hwy 1 between the Sumas River Bridge in Abbotsford and the Prest Road overpass in Chilliwack, to improve safety fo...r drivers. The new traffic congestion-based system will adjust the speed limit to slow people down before traffic reaches a stop-and-go situation. The purpose is to calm and smooth out traffic to help reduce the high number of rear-end collisions caused by sudden changes in travel speed that occur on this busy route. More details: https://www.tranbc.ca//abbotsford-to-chilliwack-drivers-h/ We've heard from a few people asking about enforcement of the new variable speed limits. We have informed local RCMP that the system is now operating. Enforcement is the responsibility of the police.
