Additional federal supports were released today. If you have to take time off from work due to lack of childcare, or isolating kids, you might be eligible for benefits. "Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) The Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) will provide $500 per week (taxable, tax deducted at source) for up to 26 weeks per household for workers unable to work for at least 50% of the week because they must care for a child under the age of 12 or family member... because schools, day-cares or care facilities are closed due to COVID-19, or because the child or family member is sick and/or required to quarantine or is at high risk of serious health implications because of COVID-19. I love this, and we practice "turn taking" and using our words to solve these problems! I encourage the kids to resolve these scenarios on their own, and try to only step in when necessary. Its amazing watching them learn the skills to navigate through conflict, and speak up for themselves in a kind, thoughtful manner!

Part time openings available in my Summerwood based dayhome! I have spaces Tuesday-Thursday, 9am-530pm, for 1-3 days a week. Currently accepting children ages 3 and up. I have up to date childcare first aid and CPR, as well as a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector. I focus on learning through discovery, including reading, crafting, and plenty of outdoor play. I serve lunch and snacks, led by the Canada Food Guide. It is important to me that the children in my care feel they have a safe, loving, "home away from home" environment, that encourages kindness, manners, and learning independence.
