RHF FEATURE RIDER OF THE WEEK: Sky Tremaine Hello everyone! My name is Sky Tremaine! I have been riding for about 13 years. My riding career started as a western rider where I explored western gaming, pleasure as well as extreme cowboy racing for 7 years. I wanted to try something different and decided maybe jumpers would be fun. I found out about RHF through Liz Beattie (which I will forever be grateful for, thank you Liz). About 3 years ago, Cali decided to let me train on Twist and we have been rocking the hunter ring since! Next year, I plan to start a new chapter of my life and attend the University of Ottawa for a BScoSc Political Science degree. Very thankful to Cali, Jaime, Siobhan, Gord and everyone else apart of this journey, it means the world to me !!

RHF Recommendation of the Week We love our Lemieux Saddle Pads from @lemieuxproductsofficial ! Great fit, durability, and the d-ring tabs are amazing. Dora is very sensitive on her withers so it’s imperative that the saddle pad doesn’t pinch. Love all the beautiful colour options they offer as well! The sheepskin half pad is my newest addition and I’m in love. The holes for the tabs make a huge difference! #rhfrecc #saddlepadobsession #prettycolours #lemieux

***SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT*** Today, January 7, 2021, we would like to make a very special announcement. Cali Radbourne and Siobhan Mitchell are ecstatic to announce that they are the new owners of Rolling Hills Farm. A huge thank you goes out to Gord and Teresa Timmerman for all their hard work, patience, ongoing support and guidance. Gord, we want to thank you for everything you have and continue to teach us, as well as always pushing us to be better. We want to thank all o...f our amazing clients for their support and loyalty. A big thank you to Jaime Brocklehurst for all your patience, hard work, and for always having a smile on your face. Lastly, a big thank you to all of our family and friends. We could not have accomplished this without you. THANK YOU!!! Cali moved to RHF when she was a terrified 14 year old and Charlie a green but gorgeous 3 year old. After several years of hard work, fun trail rides, show seasons, starting young horses, and just in general sweat and tears Cali went off to university. She made the decision to leave Charlie at RHF while she was in school. While working at an equestrian facility in North Bay she met Siobhan. Siobhan quickly became an essential part of the Rolling Hills family. Cali returned from school to manage RHF for several years before she and Siobhan starting leasing it in May 2019. We are super excited to continue now as owners. Thanks to everyone for helping us make our dreams come true!

A few examples of another Virtual Farm assignment this week ... creating shoppings lists for your horses and your farm! Lots of bright and colourful shopping lists ... I love it! Best way to beat stress is pretend shopping lol

Rolling Hills Farm 19.08.2020

Just a few examples of our assignment for the weekend! Everyone was to create a floor plan for their barn and a site plan for the property, I’m continuously impressed by everyone’s creativity and hard work. Each person put their own spin on it and I love it! Working hard to stay connected and stay horsie during this trying time. Hope these make you smile as much as they made me smile

Where to begin. I have wrote and rewrote this post many times, trying to find the words. My heart breaks a little each time. On March 17, 2020 Ontario Equestrian released that, "we strongly urge that all riding facilities in Ontario immediately close to the public and cease all lessons, camps, etc. until the State of Emergency is lifted. For greater certainty, we are recommending that only employees needed to take care of the facilities and our Equine Partners be allowed o...n the premises." Rolling Hills Farm is following these recommendations. We know how difficult this time is for everyone, and how much you will all miss your horses. We promise to uphold the highest standard of care possible for everyone, horses and humans included. We are striving to come up with new ways to keep you connected to your barn family as well as your horses. At this time, it is incredibly important to do our part to slow down the spread of this virus. Our hope is that in a few weeks we can look back at this and decide it was an overreaction. But we all must do our part right now. Look after yourself, look after your family, and look after each other. We will get through this, and before you know it we will all be enjoying that sweet smell of leather and horses once again.

Rolling Hills Farm 05.08.2020

We are working hard to find ways to stay connected and for everyone to get a little horse time (even if it’s not hands on). Today was the first day of our Virtual Farm Game ... everyone who wanted to participate was to create a farm name, figure out what services to offer and cost, and create a logo. I was delighted by everyone’s creativity. I know how much this lifted my spirits today ... I hope it will lift yours as well
