Hey everyone, my name is Alvina! :) I am in my third year at Western University, currently studying in the Honors Business Administration program at Ivey, and I am hoping to pursue a dual degree in HBA and Urban Development. This is my second year at RollUp and third year at Enactus Western. As a returning member, I am the Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I reach out, connect, and maintain constant communication with our community partners and donors. It is my ...responsibility to oversee our inventory management system and ensure the safety and quality of our upcycled wheelchairs. I evaluate our past performance data and forecast needs and delivery scheduling for our next donation. In this tight-knit, entrepreneurial environment, I have experienced what it means to be a leader in my work and the strength of teamwork. I also learned to prioritize our communities’ needs above all the numbers. Fun fact about me is that I have a double-life! I am both a student and a naval reservist working for the military! During the day, you can find me doing morning runs (find me on Strava) and taking lots of photos for my friends. Some of my hobbies include hiking and ice skating. If you have or know someone who has a vacant, gently-used wheelchair in the Middlesex-London area, please email me at [email protected]. I am more than happy to arrange a pick-up, and thank you for your generosity!

Hello, my name is Leanne! I studied Finance in my first two years, and I am entering my third year in the HBA program. I am the Head of Sponsorships, alongside with Mercedes, and we help fund RollUP’s operations by completing grants and receiving other sources of funding. I’ve always been passionate about forming community relationships and working with organizations to drive social impact, so I am incredibly grateful to work with RollUP in making mobility solutions affordable. RollUP is also not only an organization that helps people, but also the environment- we have diverted thousands of pounds of waste! I am strongly passionate about the intersection between business and sustainability. In my free time, you can find me walking on trials or watching true crime shows!

Hey everyone, Im Kathy and Im headed into my third year at Western University. In my first two years, I studied Data Science, and I will be entering Ivey Business school in the fall. As Head of Marketing, I am responsible for overseeing marketing material and content, in addition to experimenting with and optimizing our paid acquisition channels. What drew me to RollUP is how it not only makes mobility affordable, but it considers the environmental impact of the materials going into the wheelchairs. Outside of RollUp, I spend my time dabbling in various arts and reading books across several genres. I look forward to seeing what well accomplish this year!

Hello, my name is Arya Mattu! I am a second year computer science student at Western University. This year, I am a sponsorship lead at Rollup! This year I will be in charge of finding different donation and sponsorship partners, as well as establishing relationships within the medical community. Being a part of Rollup is a true honor. Providing mobility equipment at an affordable price is very important, however it has not really got the awareness that it requires. Through my... roll, I can bring the attention that this noble cause requires and deserves! Also as an organization that is entirely run by students, Rollup showcases the capabilities and impacts students can have on their community. An interesting fact about me is that I lived in India for two years. Doing grade 1 and 2 was an interesting experience as the culture and lifestyle is much different than it is in Canada, however being close my extended family was definitely a treat!

Hello! My name is Mercedes Sanchez. I am a third year Ivey HBA student and I plan to pursue the dual degree program combining business and MIT. This is my second year working at RollUp and as a returning member, I am happy to continue my passion in providing mobility to those in need as well as, welcoming our amazing new team members! As Head of Sponsorships, my role is to oversee RollUps sales and communication strategies to secure various forms of support. Alongside one... of our new RollUp members, Leanne, I apply for various grants, scholarships and competitions. Working at RollUp and learning from, our founder, Megan Mackay, has taught me the importance of not only helping struggling Canadians afford wheelchair accessibility and a better quality of lifebut to also save equipment machinery from going to waste. With my background in clothing sponsorships for the Spur Fashion Show, leading corporate collaborations for RollUp has allowed me to do my part in driving social impact in the London community. Outside of RollUp, I am a spinning instructor and a U6 soccer coach. Looking forward to another great year! See more

Hello! My name is Kyleigh Stubbs. I am entering my third year at Western University. I am currently attending the Ivey Business School with plans to complete the HBA dual degree program with health science. As the Head of Community Partnerships at RollUP, I help connect with organizations in the community to arrange donations to increase our impact throughout Southwestern Ontario and beyond. With my health science background, I have always been passionate about making a dif...ference in the healthcare field. When sitting in my lectures for my Health Issues in Aging class, I became more intrigued with various opportunities to help the aging population. After working at my local hospital for two consecutive summers, I was able to witness first hand the importance of having accessible mobility devices for all. RollUP gives me the opportunity to work alongside passionate, talented individuals while giving people freedom and independence with a mobility device. An interesting fact about me is that I was selected as the youngest member of the Board of Directors for Violence Against Women Services Elgin County and have been serving on that board since 2018! I love reaching out and making a difference in my community.

Hello hello! Welcome to my bio :) Im Anna, a third year student at Western, studying business at Ivey Business School, and this year Im lucky enough to be RollUPs Partnerships Coordinator. Two years ago, our founder Megan MacKay was a student sitting at the Pillar Nonprofit Network Community Innovation Awards Gala, inspired by all of the amazing stories she heard. Yesterday, at the 13th annual Awards Gala, our team, RollUP Solutions Inc. won the Community Collaboration Award! RollUP started as a project in the Business 2257 course at Western University and through Megans leadership we have grown RollUP to create even more meaningful impact. Through years of hi...ghs and lows, RollUP has always been supported by the Pillar Nonprofit Network through the Libro Credit Union Social Enterprise Incubator and more. We are a social enterprise that strives to remove social and physical limitations by making mobility affordable for everyone. We collect gently-used wheelchairs from the community, work with our partners at Goodwill Industries to refurbish them, and then donate/sell the devices at a 95% discount for people in financial need. All of us here at RollUP are all so immensely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes and honoured to have our collaboration recognized by Pillar Nonprofit Network at #PCIA19. Congratulations to all nominees, finalists and recipients. You have all inspired us so much. This has lit a fire under us to do more and make even more of an impact in our community. What is our WHY here at RollUP? . We saw a PROBLEM regarding wheelchairs. . First of all, the lack of affordability.... Did you know 630,000 Canadians currently go without a wheelchair because they cannot afford the average $2500 cost? . Its a difficult process. Purchasing a device is frustrating and time-consuming, taking anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. . The environmental impact. In London, over 5,000 devices are thrown out annually - a waste of resources and strain on the environment. . Well, we came up with a SOLUTION. . We COLLECT wheelchairs through donations of gently-used mobility devices from individuals and institutions in our community, reducing environmental impact and freeing up valuable space. . Then, we REFURBISH them through a comprehensive upcycling process in partnership with Goodwill. We clean each device thoroughly, ensure all parts work, and replace the seat and grips so every device is perfect. . Finally, we SELL and DONATE them. Devices can be purchased online or over the phone for 20x less than retail pricing. Additionally, passionate community members are able to sponsor a device, which we will donate to an individual in need. . If you want to get involved, you can donate, buy or sponsor a device with RollUP! Check out the link in our bio to go to our website for more details. . #rollup #rollupwheelchair #rollupsolutions #wheelchair #socialgood #ldnont

Happy Wednesday! Wed love to know something that has made you smile recently. Comment below! . We have big smiles over here at RollUP because we had the amazing opportunity to donate 10 devices to the Consistory Club, a London-based organization. This organization will then loan the devices out for free to community members that need them most. We are so excited to have been able to help the London community. . Thank you so much to our new partner, @pensketruck , for making ...this possible in delivering the devices. . If you want to get involved, you can donate, buy or sponsor a device with RollUP!
