HALLOWEEN. is it of the devil. REALLY. Halloween is in fact a Christian festival from the 1st century, remembering all the martyred Christians. Its the holy-night the "hallo ween"... hallo = holy ween = night Of "All Saints Day". Nov. 1. The 3rd great feastable of the church. Satan stole it, with another day being put on Halloween. Which was "All Soul day" which was to be warning to people of hell. "All Saints Day" was about the Grandeur of heaven. "All Souls day" became more gruesome & about superstitious, with parades and masks, etc. NOTE: Very much like what is happening in our time with Christmas. Praise be to God, God is bring back the meaning of "All Saints day" with the "International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted church" (IDOP), on 1st Sunday of Nov. The Church need to take back that which was taken from us & not fear the one who took it. I like that song about David "I went to the enemies camp & took back what he stole from me, took back what he stole from me..." Are we to celebrate "Halloween" as the world does? of corse not! We are not to live life as the world does. Or celebratrate another Christain Festival of Christmas the way the world does! (Will we lose another Christian celebration to the world...of Christmas) But we are not to be fearful either. We at River of Life will celebrate, "Halloween" with a movie that honours our God on Saturday night. & on Sunday, "All Saints Day" we will honour God by join in on the world wide day of prayer for the persecuted church (IDOP). If you are in the Midland area, feel free to join in with us. Or celabrate in God, God's way wherever you are - "Halloween" and "All saints Days" in God's way.
