Took advantage of the nice weather to start cleaning up the barn yard today. There's always such a pile of crap around the hay feeders. Should be a nice amount of manure to spread on the fields this spring when they dry up

Glad that with Michele and Jordan we switched everybody around on Tuesday. All of the pregnant ones plus the moms with the newest babies are now in the big barn with no access to outside. Really glad of that considering what the weather has been like with these really cold temperatures. My yearling Betty had her first lambs today 2 cute little twin girls. Will try and get a photo of her and her babies a little bit later. The group that we moved outside with access to the small barn don't seem to be bothered by the temperatures. Even the babies are spending as much time as they can out there, happy to have a couple of paddocks to play follow the leader in

One of the new triplets. She was a little bit cold and couldn't stand very well so we brought her up to the house to warm up give her a bit of colostrum and now she's going back with her mother. And her name is Pete

How much friggin worse can it get. Once again two humongous deformed dead twins. Unfortunately came out in pieces and the ewe strained so hard she ruptured her uterus so we lost her too. Dr Mike said that they were too deformed to even test for Cache Valley but it was the probable cause again. Both of them were really colored and the interesting thing is that the babies we've lost have all been highly colored one of them was solid black my first time ever having a black lamb. Wonder if it's just coincidental. I know Osma is doing a survey right now on the virus maybe I should ask them to poll people and find out whether with hitting multicolored babies more than others.

Another two this morning when I went down to feed. Another boy and girl and mom is doing well. This should be close to the end for group 1. The next batch were bred to be available for Orthodox Easter dinner which is in May. I like it when they don't need any help.
