One of my favourite views Looking out over Georgian Bay from the cliffs of the northern escarpment. This image was taken just before the lake froze but don't let that fool you, it was about -18 degrees C that morning but after a brisk walk in the dark out to the cliffs, I was quite comfortable and dressed for the early morning light. I'm looking forward to returning this year. Apparently I'm "Legendary" Thanks the Award Viewbug. I'm not so sure I'm Legendary but this day was Legendary! Zodiac cruising the Monacobreen Glacier, Svalbard. High above the Arctic Circle near where land ends and the top of the world begins. The day was beyond peaceful and mild and I know I wanted this shot so baldly. I asked our Zodiac driver to make several passes while I held my camera just inches above the water.... Symmetry is often powerful in imagery. The other thing that made this particular day "Legendary" was I was able to share it with fellow photographer Lauri Bauer Novak on her first trip to the Arctic!
