Root Cellar Gardens

It's a busy time of year and we've been having no trouble filling our days with harvesting, seed cleaning, breaking new ground, and a bit of relaxing too! We've still got the veggie stand up and running until Thanksgiving. This morning we just put out green onions, squash, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, arugula, spinach, mini romaine lettuce, and cilantro.

Just another reason why it's so important for as many of us as possible to save as many seeds as we can...

It's no Hymers Fall Fair, but we have some late summer harvest gems.

Its shaping up to be a good day for soup! We've got a recipe and some key ingredients in the veggie stand today, including: beans, onions, leeks, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatillo, herbs and kale.

Veggie stand has cilantro, beans, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, beets, kale, basil, sage, and leeks today with more to come this evening.
