Appreciation Post Sending lots of loves to these two powerhouses @fadedmocha & @cannabis.feminist for co-founding @loudertogether.ca, an organization dedicated to amplifying BIPOC voices and fighting for racial justice in the cannabis space. This weekend they launched a successful fundraiser featuring a formidable lineup of performers @statuesse @tonyeaganaba @yolandasargeant @moeclark @anothernisha @bella_roces and @naomi.v.grace (show them some love and follow th...eir accounts!) Special thanks to @jermeypjacob from @villagebloomery and @matthewgreenndp for supporting the petition asking for the reallocation of funds from the RCMP to BIPOC communities (LINK IN BIO TO SIGN & SHARE!) The community fundraiser was made possible thanks to the generousity of the attendees and these super supporters: @sistershinecannabis @wildflowershop.ca @ohailife @jessiemacphersontarot @emeraldhealth.ca @itsstudio710 @420.consulting @alairvaporizers @atgvancity @villagebloomery @stolbiesisters Ticket & raffle sales were donated to @culturedayvancouver an organization reclaiming space for BIPOC artists in Vancouver's creative industry. Thanks again to everyone who participated, bought a ticket, shared the event, liked a post, signed the petition etc. etc. None of this would be possible without community. Looking forward to next time we can all get Louder Together! See more

Connection is at the root of what we do. And for us, cannabis is at the root of our connection. Born and bred in Montreal, we journeyed west via Toronto and landed in Vancouver three years ago, one month apart from each other. It wasn't until six months later that we serendipitously met at a cannabis event and became friends. In less than a year of meeting, we built a cannabis brand that has supported large and small businesses in the industry. Although we have each bee...n weed enthusiasts for over 2 decades, our participation in the industry is still green. We are grateful for the patients, advocates, and activists who fought for and continue to fight for legalization. We are humbled by every grower, processor, medicine maker, and educator we have the opportunity to learn from. We are thankful for all our mentors and for those who hold us accountable. And we are so appreciative of our community, the people with whom we get to create, laugh, and grow We're showing up on the two year #cannaversary of adult-use legalization honouring the battles it took to get here and committing ourselves to continue fighting for equity and justice. Because cannabis legalization cannot truly be celebrated while BIPOC continue to be disproportionately disadvantaged and criminalized, patients are taxed, and craft cultivators face barriers to entry. We are all connected. And we must continue to root for each other. : @stolbiesisters @ggmedialab
