Last week we had the opportunity to perform at a Care Centre in Burnaby. It was such a nice experience bringing our dance show to the lovely Seniors at H.C. They enjoyed watching dances as Marinera Nortena, Festejo, Carnaval de Arequipa, Huaylash, Valicha & Cajon Peruano. We were very happy to see them clapping and dancing from their seats. Thank you H.C. for the opportunity and to making us feel very welcome. We also want to thank you to Burnaby NSG to make this event possible and special mention to Sebastien for your support with the sound system

We love performing and interacting with the crowd. We wish to do it soon when the time is appropriate. For now, we can just remember those days This video was at #kitsilanoshowboat last year. Showboat is always a success and definitely it's a Vancouver treasure. This year, Roots participated at the virtual Kitsilano Showboat August Special. A big thank you to all of those who volunteered and donated to support Showboat.

We were feeling disconnected because we could not perform this summer; fortunately, in July Thornerbridge Gardens gave us a wonderful opportunity to perform in front of one of our most appreciative audiences ever. Huaylarsh is a representative dance of the Mantaro Valley, declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 2005. It is an agricultural and ritual dance, traditionally performed by the indigenous population during the potato cultive. Our members Jaimito y Christie are good exponents of huaylarsh
