Happy Independence Day
Happy Canada Day
Our classroom for the next 3 days with Dr. Rebecca Gimenez Husted and TLAER Inc.
We are in Georgia this week assisting in a TLAER Course. http://tlaer.org/
We have been teaching this for many years. https://journals.lww.com//News__Suspension_Syndrome__Hangi
One of the offshoots of TLAER training is how to properly respond to livestock accidents - we spend some time on that in our TLAER courses - but one of our assistant instructors Victor MacPherson is working in Ontario, Canada with several organizations to make it a full day course. VERY proud of his work over the last 2 years to make this come to fruition.
Time is running out to get registered, if you know anyone who would be interested please share!
Sorry we haven't been updating our page much, we have been busy with teaching Working at Heights and Confined Space here in Ontario...and it's GO GO GO
Happy Independence Day.

Maui had a really rough day Friday. You see, he found himself high up in a tree, unable to get down. Normally when cats climb trees they manage to make their ...way down after a day or two. But Maui couldn't do that, because his leg was broken. We're not sure how he managed to climb up there with a broken leg, but likely if he was spooked he may have been running on adrenaline...which wore off before he was ready to come down! Fortunately, a great guy named Randall of Rope Rescue Systems was able to climb the tree and rescue him! Maui is now back with his family, who is treating his broken leg. Hopefully from now on he'll keep his paws firmly on solid ground! See more

This is a training that apparently happened in Ontario, how many faults can you spot that does not meet the standards for Ice Water Rescue in Ontario.

In a Feb. 15 letter to Terri-Jo Thompson one of five others in the river with Brunt the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD) says it has determined her complaint is one of "conduct" involving Hanover Police Chief Christopher Knoll and Const. Jeremy Ellis.

The first AWARENESS and OPERATIONS level TLAER this year will be in Olds College, Alberta. This is the link to the course - we ran it last year and were thrill...ed to have the USAR team from the province involved as well as University of Calgary's Vet School. There is a limit to the number of personnel that may attend. Come join Victor MacPherson and I in CANADA! (Prices in the flyer are in Canadian Dollars.) See more
Many of you may already have a set of ice rescue picks or bear claws that you carry when you go walking on ice crossing streams, ponds, lakes or sea ice. Winte...r paddlers, fishermen and sled riders should always have a set with them. Here is a link to make your own. http://www.instructables.com//Make-A-Set-of-Life-Saving-I/
