Have you seen/done this? Putting bottles of water in your piano is never a good idea. The piano gets water when it doesn't need it and doesn't get enough when it does, especially when the bottles are empty. Out of sight is out of mind so bottles aren't refilled until the tuner is coming (maybe) and that can be detrimental to the quality of the tuning. Best is to keep the piano away from direct heat/cold and tune it once every 1 to 2 years.

Just finished restringing a Yamaha G2J grand piano. I've put 8 tunings on it in 2 weeks. It sounds really nice.
