Call for Board Members Exciting news: Rosa Barocca is incorporating! In order to do so, we have started the process of building a Board of Directors. We still have a couple of openings and decided that a public call for applications would be a good way to fill in the remaining positions. Highly successful concert for Rosa Barocca with cellist Elinor Frey. The amount of music Elinor had to play in this concert was truly astonishing. Two very taxing concerti: one by Leo and another by Tartini; continuo duty in works by Avitrano, Fiorenza and two concerti grossi by A. Scarlatti; and the Vivaldi double with Janet. All done on two baroque celli: one four-string and the other a five-string violoncello piccolo. Additionally: in a self-inflicted refinement of cruelty, the Tartini was perfomed on the violoncello piccolo with an underhand bow to replicate Antonio Vandini's technique as described in contemporary iconography. It was a wonder to behold. Abd the audience loved every minute.
