FETAAS fashion show was a result of community coming together in the spirit of cultural vitality and reconciliation. Behind the scenes Lindsay Isbister was training and organizing models for designers and mentoring model mentors to support our 10 and under models and the red dress runway/gathering prizes/TV interviews on CTV Morning Live and Rogers TV/ countless meetings and appearing with Jesse Michael President of FETAAS for media coverage/Eva Vas was working with choreographers and co performers /investing and motivating sponsorship until the 9th hour/Tala Tootoosis was collaborating with all the designers for our MMIW red dress runway/ Taleasha Summer for role modelling for our 10 and under models/ the Board of Directors of FETAAS and the Committee for this event, to the collaborators/the designers/the vendors/ the models/ the dancers/ the musicians/ the volunteers/ the school Ecole Canadienne Francaise for sharing their venue to community/ the patrons/ the many families and spouses who contributed to the event provided support to nourish our lengthy time preparing in rehearsal and preshow/ Rose for sponsoring the catering /Shift Development sponsoring moose meat and bannock by Kaymo Jensen for our volunteers designer-models/ CUMFI President Shirley Isbister for providing greetings and opening prayer/ Arvid Kuhnle and Blair James the most patient and go with subject to change photographers (if you ever need a photographer reach out) thanks for being available for event photos can't wait to get the proofs/ DJ EasyT/ Thomas Faye who helped with models too lucky to have you be there as always/ Michels kids and Shelley Wiart that stayed behind to clean with me Stuart our incredible stage manager who made sure the sound and tech was all good, Shauna for decorating, our past president Denis for overseeing the FETAAS operations overview, Blaise running concession of beverages, my hands are raised to the treasurer, Stuart again for saving my sanity by making sure I got my gear and Bertrand Gattuso Vice President of FETAAS for loading it into Shelleys van at the end of a long day for coordinating vendors and certificates for our awards presented/ Devy K Fiddler collaborating with 3 runways shows (Save the date SheNative Holiday Handbag sale starts on the 27th) and for being our star maternity model for African designers including multiple changes for Jennifer Apetorgbor runway collection - They all looked stunning on you Dev and I am so impressed to have intergenerational representation at our show/and coursTagnon Missihounun my co MC who ended up being my hype man when I did my rap / Rich Francis for having the most blown away facial reaction in the audience when I did rap/ no joke this would not have been such an inspiring night without everyone that was there the word is INSPIRED.
