STRIKE MANDATE VOTE AND GENERAL MEETING Brothers and sisters, Talks have broken down, the contractors and the UA are at an impasse. 40 hours and 100% name hire ...key issues, our negotiation team can not accept this proposal. We can not emphasize enough how important this vote is and how it could impact our future as a union and your future as a member. The negotiating committee believes that the 50/50 and 36 hour work week are things that were fought for and earned by our predecessors and should never be clawed back. These two issues are not about working conditions, they are about your future and your quality of life moving forward. Your support is needed for a strong strike mandate to strengthen our negotiation position. Our future depends on it.
