Rosenol Performance Horses 23.11.2020

Somewhere in the world, the 2028 Olympic champion is a foal out in a field. He’s ewe-necked, sickle-hocked, downhill and shaggy, with a club foot and a chunk of... mane missing, because his buddy chewed it off. Somewhere in the world, there’s a young horse that everyone says is too short to make it big. In three years, he’ll be jumping the standards, but right now he’s fat and short and no one is paying him any mind. Somewhere in the world there’s a 7-year-old who can’t turn right, and a 10-year-old who has not shown the ability to put more than two one-tempis together without losing it, and a 14-year-old who hasn’t yet reached his peak, and all of them will be at the next Olympic Games. Somewhere else in the world, there’s a rider who is thinking of packing it in. Maybe the bills are getting out of control, or she’s killing herself to get enough help in her own riding development because she’s having to spend all her time riding and teaching to make ends meet and change needs to happen, and she’s wondering if it’s worth it. She’s thinking it’s time to just give up and be a local trainer, to shelve her dreams of international competition. And then she’s going to shake off the doubt, double down, and make a team in the next 15 years. Somewhere in the world, one of the next great team riders is 9 years old and couldn’t tell if she was on the right posting diagonal if her life depended on it. Somewhere in the world there’s a future team rider who just got told that she’ll never make it because she’s too chubby, because she’s too short, because she’s too late. There are horses who will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars that will never amount to anything, and there are horses who will be touted as the Next Big Thing only to be never seen or heard from again, and there are horses who will fly under the radar until suddenly they’re setting the world on fire. There are riders who will win Junior and Young Rider competitions only to quit riding completely, riders who will be touted as the Next Big Thing only to get stuck in their comfort zones and never come to fruition, and there are riders who will make their first Olympic team at 50, at 55, at even older than that. And yes, there are the horses that will be brilliant from day one, and there are the riders for whom success both comes early and stays late. But more often than not, history has shown that the unlikely story, the horse who was passed over in favor of his more expensive stablemate, the rider who no one saw coming, is the more likely path to greatness. Here at Rosenol over the past few years, we have been slowly bringing in new blood. Fulfilling a genetic bucket list really! Now its time to showcase all of the exciting new horses and their pedigrees for the world, ie our followers! First on that list is the sire of our young stallion Night's Watch, who we imported from holland last fall. Night's Watch sire is the incredible KANNAN. Kannan is the only stallion in the world to be among the top 20 winners in the WBFSH rankin...gs without interruption in ten years. The strength, respect and mind that he transmits explain the global reputation of his products and always make him one of the most requested sire in the world. What else is left to say about Kannan? He is ranked #2 in the TOP10 of the best showjumping sires in 2015 with only a few points behind the first ranked, and he was #1 for 2014. Kannan’s offspring conquer at all levels of competition worldwide. He seems to be destined to stay in the Top10 for the next ten years due to the outstanding quality of his youngsters. Kannan seems to match with a lot of mares whilst adding canter, strength and a super mouth, he works particularly well with blood type mares. His offspring are appreciated worldwide for their exceptional talent, great willingness, kind temperament and their ability to react. KANNAN will go down in Jumper history as one of the all-time great producers. Kannan is a super well-bred stallion with winning ways and winning offspring! He carries blood from all the important jumping breeds of Europe: Voltaire, Furioso, Nimmerdor, Gotthard, Farn, Le Mexico all great progenitors of modern jumper breeding. Kannan’s competition successes have included: In 1998, at the age of 6, he won the Belgian Classic Circuit; In 1999, at 7 years old, he was Belgian Champion; In 2000 he made his International debut by finishing 5th in a Grand Prix; In 2003 Kannan won the Deauville Grand Prix; In 2004 Kannan won at Paris Bercy and Jardy, as well as many other competition successes; In 2003 & 2004 he was a regular member of the French team which won the Samsung Super League; In 2005 he became French National Champion. Kannan’s most well known son is A Pikachu de Muze, who won the six year old WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS at Lanaken in 2006. In 2006 he also produced the American 6YO Champion Amis de Kannan. He also has 11 offspring jumping at international level (2* and above). We expect kannan to provide scope, size and power, suitable for jumper courses or hunter ring, as his technique and movement are excellent as hunter type. Because of his size and strength, he is well suited to small to medium weight mares, which lack size, scope and power. We are so so so excited to have added this talented young stallion and his incredible father to our program. He will be bred to a limited number of approved mares in 2021. Check back in for more info on his dam line!! https://youtu.be/1zyx__9eifk

With all this exciting new blood in the barn, Its easy to forget our flag ship stallion for just a moment. But if you haven’t met him, our senior stallion, who unfortunately had to retire in 2019 due to injury, is Leeto Z. Mojo was my first young horse that I developed beyond 1.10m, he was a challenging horse, but he taught me so much. Our partnership became something very special to me, and I miss not swinging my leg over that guy. Leeto is fully approved by CWHBA after com...pleting his stallion performance test in 2014. This stallion has tons of scope, although his technique isn’t always perfect. The thing that stood him apart from the other stallions in the test, was his ridability and temperament. He received the highest marks in that area of all of the stallions. This is a quality that he seems to pass on to all of his offspring, who have been the most uncomplicated, willing, and athletic young horses that we have produced. Almost all of them have ended up in the hands of amateurs, where they are very successful across all disciplines from dressage to hunter/jumper, and even a couple eventers. While mojo only competed to 1.20m, that was more a statement about my level of development than his and because we had such a unique relationship, he really had no patience for other riders. So he stayed where I was comfortable. If you were looking for a talented, athletic, patient, uncomplicated foal, considered Leeto. He has never disappointed us. http://www.rosenolperformancehorses.ca/Leeto-Z.html

Still looking for a new partner for Nirvana RPH 2014 CWB gelding - Novalis x Pik Kasso Kobe has shown 2’9 hunters, still pre green eligible, .85 jumpers. Schooled 1.0m-1.10m. Really special prospect, incredible mover and currently in dressage training to round out his training. He is not a simple horse, and by this I mean he is powerful, forward and enthusiastic. He is obedient but very strong. Super brave to jumps, doesn’t back off which means he can get flat over fences and... then he can have rails. This is his biggest weakness so his training forward will need to focus on staying on his hind end at the jumps and staying round across them. He is an incredibly trainable horse with the most lovely personality. Has already passed a PPE and has xrays from June. 16.3 Located in Prince George BC Canada He is priced in low-mid 5 figures CDN. PM me for more details and video.

Now that you have the back ground on our newly CWHBA licensed stallion Darconido Z, here is some information on the man himself. Darwin is just about the coolest young horse we have ever have here. He is gentle and kind, extremely careful and always wants to do the right thing. He is tall, with balance of a broke horse and the most comfortable gaits to ride. He is a big kid still, with a sense of humour and at the same time a really calm manner. He absorbs everything and I honestly LOVE riding him!! He was licensed this fall with CWBHA, and we are expecting 3 foals from him this year.

Now for Darconido's dam line! On Darconido's dam's side, he has the incredible Capitol I. Capitol unites in his pedigree two strong performance breeding lines: On his mother's side the breeding line stems from Breeding Line 173, the original mare being Rappel. Among her offspring you will find many successful international and national show jumpers. Capitol's father Capitano was the only one who was chosen to carry on the heritage of the Stallion Cottage Son xx to this presen...Continue reading

Next on our list of stallions to showcase is Darcon Z and his pedigree Darco x Contender. Darconido's sire is Darcon Z. While Darcon Z does not have a performance record of his own, his sire Darco needs no introduction. For Five consecutive years, the great stallion Darco led the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horse ranking as the best jumping horse progenitor. He currently has the most offspring that competed at Grand Prix level. It is a record which no single sire has ...ever achieved since the ranking was first developed in 1995. Moreover, Darco is one of the few sires of the present ranking who previously appeared in the original rankings from 1995. In other words, Darco has been at the top for more than fifteen years. Reasons enough to assume, at this time, that Darco is the best jumping horse progenitor ever in show jumping history. With Ludo Philippaerts/BEL, he was placed in Grand Prix, show jumping Nations Cups and World Cups and produced with Sapphire/McLain Ward/USA, Valentina vd Heike/Jos Lansink/BEL, Winningmood/Luciana Diniz/POR and Parco/Ludo Philippaerts etc., absolute top stars of the show jumping sport. Darcon's Dam's sire, Contender has proven to be one of the most influential sons of Calypso II . Calypso II was an advanced level show jumper with Michael Ruping before retiring to stud where he sired a number of quality show jumping horses. He also sired a number of top grade dressage competitors.Contender was bred by Niko Detlef , Westfehmarn , Contender is out of Gofine who's grand sire was the late Ladykiller xx . Gofine produced several top show jumpers including the international performing horse Ulina . Contender is the sire of over 40 approved stallions and equally 40 national premium mares. He has dominated German Breeding values for many years now and continues to produce exciting young stallions from which our own gelding Greenacres Captain Z is descended. Contender's influence spreads through Germany mainly through his two sons Cordobes I and II . They were aquired by the Westphalian stud at Warendorf. Cordobes I was the winner of his performance test in 1998 . His jumping score of 142.29 nearly matched that of his famous sire Contender which stood at 146.62. So performance record or not, Darcon has the blood behind him to produce exceptional jumpers. Darco with Ludo Philippaerts https://youtu.be/SuyRDSut4nE It is very exciting to have such strong foundation bloodlines in one of our young stallion!
