Rosetown Archive 28.11.2020

Albert Kessel, who farmed north of Rosetown, donated a large spruce to serve as the Christmas Tree on Main street. The photo was taken sometime in the 1960's and from right to left, possibly, is Albert Kessel, George Loken, Ken Green and Bob McNab.

This is a a photo of the Hillside Community Club taken outside the Hillside School, on August 3rd 1955. That's 61 years ago this month. It was the club's Jubilee meeting, according to what was written on the back. Usually I would write in the names of those pictured, but for such a large group I've instead enclosed a picture that has as many names as were known.

Was looking again through the same folder that contained the Oddfellows picture posted a few weeks ago and there was another. This one is much closer and you can very clearly see all the men.

Pictured is the Rosetown Hard Time Dance Parade on April 4th 1913. Featured in the picture is the Rosetown Hotel, on the 100 block of Main Street. Just behind the hotel you can see the Quebec bank.
