It is so hard to believe that another season has come and gone! It was a late start to the season and then the time seemed to fly by so quickly. Saturday (October 31st) will be Rosie's last day of the 2020 season and we will be open from 12pm to 8pm. This year we will be holding our 3rd annual ice cream give away which means that all people big and small who visit the shop (in costume if possible) will receive a free 1 large scoop cone (hard ice cream only while supplies las...t). In exchange, Rosie's will also be collecting donations for the Huron County Food Bank. This weekend we are open today until 9pm tonight and tomorrow from 11am - 8pm We would like to thank everyone who supported our shop this year and wish you all a wonderful winter and holiday season. Many people this Halloween are celebrating the 31st in a different way by staying home or having small gatherings instead. If you would like a Halloween themed ice cream cake for the big day we can help. Let them eat cake!!! To celebrate the last weekend of summer 2020, Rosie's will be giving away a 7 inch Salty Caramel and Skor ice cream cake today at 4pm. Each person who purchases a minimum order of a single scoop cone will receive a ballot to put into our ballot box. Name and phone number required. The winner will be notified today. Summer might be almost over but it's always time to celebrate something, and what better way than with an ice cream cake from Rosie's? Starting today Olio Too has added Rosie's signature Salty Caramel and Skor ice cream cake to their dessert menu. This dessert features a personal or date sized 4" ice cream cake with an in house baked chocolate chip cookie base, a fudge centre and topped of with our signature Salty Caramel dip, crushed Skor and caramel sauce. Vegan Soft Serve Update Unfortunately our vegan soft serve machine is down at the moment, we are waiting on a part and will have it up and running as soon as we can. In the mean time we still have have several vegan options which include scoppable sorbets and a huge variety of fruit that can be prepared with a sorbet bar instead of a yogurt bar. We apologize for this inconvenience.

The strangest thing happened at Rosie's on Canada Day which is the first day of the second half of the year. This little beauty appeared in front of the shop. We have named her Rosie and believe that she is a symbol of hope for the second half of 2020. If you are in Bayfield stop by to see her for yourself. As much as we miss having our patio open for all to enjoy, we have decided to keep it closed for now. Our reason is that we would have to take out most of our seating to allow for physical distancing and to sanitize our seating after each customer would be very difficult. In an effort to promote safe distancing we have also made some changes to the space that our customers use to line up. This includes a safe place for people to line up with makings on the ground and umbrellas for shade. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the safest way that we can. Vegan Soft Serve is Back!!!! Rachel was so excited when she came in to work today because our famous dairy free (coconut water) soft serve is back for the summer. We will have our vegan soft serve from now until Labour Day weekend. If you are in Bayfield, stop by for a sample or a tasty vegan treat.

Celebrating? We can help... Rosie's is now selling ice cream cakes. We have 6" (6 to 8 people) and 10" (10 to 12 people). Our signature cakes in the pictures below are Salty Caramel with Skor, Worms and Dirt, and Strawberries and Cream. Cakes can also be made to order with ice cream of choice and with any toppings such as Skor, Reeses Pieces, Reese Peanut Butter Cups... or try our gourmet Belgian Chocolate Dips which are Milk Chocolate, Ferrero Rocher, Salty Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Cookies and Cream or Butterscotch... the possibilities are endless. It felt so good to scoop my first cone of the season! It was also so nice to see familiar faces (from a safe distance of course). It was a long winter and now an even longer spring. We have all been very patient and can't wait for this pandemic to be over. After careful consideration and planning for physical distancing we have decided that...Rosie's will open this weekend!!! We look forward to seeing everybody soon and will do everything possible to ensure the safety of our customers and staff and ask that you all do the same. If you are feeling like a treat this weekend we will be scooping over 30 flavours of hard ice cream, serving our delicious soft serve and dipping in our signature gourmet dips.
