In a year when there is more people requesting the flu shot, we have had supply issues and reordering issues and this is part of the reason. We are doing everything we can to obtain stock so that everyone who wants a flu shot can get one. We will provide updates as they come. This has been frustrating and difficult for us to manage as reordering information communicated from the Ministry and our wholesaler changes weekly, or even daily. We understand your frustration as well and appreciate your patience and understanding as we deal with these supply issues.

**Flu Shots Temporarily Out of Stock** We will be receiving more flu vaccine the week of October 26. Please check in that week and call us to book an appointment and we will be happy to help you Sorry for any inconvenience and stay safe!

**FLU SHOT NOW AVAILABLE** We have stock of both the regular quadrivalent flu vaccine and limited quantities of the high dose senior's vaccine. A few things you can do to make this an easy and safe process for everyone, in trying to reduce crowds and lineups. Call the pharmacy and make an appointment for your flu shot. We will still accept walk-ins, but appointments will be priority and are encouraged.... Pick up your flu shot consent form prior to your appointment so that you can fill it out at home, or in your car. Bringing your own pen is also recommended, if possible. Be patient. Things are different this year, and the pharmacy can get busy. We believe the flu vaccine is important for everyone, especially this year. We are striving to make sure it is a safe environment for everyone to receive the vaccine. Stay tuned for flu clinic dates that we will be hosting at the Rosslyn Village Community Centre. (Likely to be late October or early November when more flu vaccine stock is made available for pharmacies to order.) Any questions or special requirements? Thanks to all of our clients and customers for your understanding and patience during this time of COVID-19 outbreak. You’ll notice things look a little different as you enter our pharmacy nowadays. Our barrier between the staff and public is meant to keep our small team safe and healthy so that we can continue to offer our essential services to our community. We are also sanitizing the pharmacy throughout the day. It’s not ideal, but it’s just temporary as we get through thi...s unprecedented time. We ask that you don’t bring in old vials/packages for refills and keep old sharps containers/pharmaceutical waste at home until a safer time. Using tap with your debit/credit cards is also preferred over cash, if possible. We also appreciate if you are able to schedule next day pickups for your refills due to an increased workload during this time.The Canadian and Ontario Pharmacist Associations are strongly recommending that we provide 30 day supplies for prescriptions to prevent stockpiling. We are following this recommendation to prevent the toilet paper situation from happening with prescription medications. This is just temporary and we will resume with your preferred days supply when this is over. (There are no expected global shortages at this time ) Truly, thanks again to everyone for your understanding. It is a stressful time, but are all in it together! If you have a fever and/or new onset of cough or difficulty breathing AND in the 14 days before symptom onset, you have travelled, or you have been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19, or you have been in close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has travelled:... **Please DELAY your visit with us** **CALL us instead @ 807 939 2007** We can deliver your prescriptions. We are able to change our policy and not require a signature, as per our guiding College, to ensure our staff are safe when delivering to someone that may be ill. If you are visiting the pharmacy, please respect other people’s space and stay at a distance of 2 arm’s length. Due to an increase in foot traffic that we observed in the past week, please order prescriptions via phone and wait until next day for pick-up, if possible. We can call you when they are ready as well! We also have a new app that you can use to directly manage and order refills for your prescriptions - call and ask us how to set it up. This will hopefully limit the number of people waiting in the store while we prepare prescriptions. Like many other businesses, we have increased our frequency in disinfecting surfaces throughout the day. We want to ensure our patients, especially the vulnerable or immunocompromised, are safe when using our services. This is our top priority. Some people have asked, and we want to make it clear: we will not close for any reason during this pandemic. We are an essential service and will continue to make sure our patients get their medications, whether that means we increase our delivery services, adjust hours, or limit persons in the store at a time. Please don’t stockpile your medications or order your prescriptions too early this will cause supply issues and affect everyone’s ability to access medication. We’re in this together!
