Fill out this Community Service BINGO throughout reading week by doing nice things for the people around you and providing the community service team with feedback. The bingo will be available to screenshot on our story/highlights. At the end of the week (anytime from Friday, Feb. 19th to Sunday, Feb 21st), send your BINGO to Muskaan (either over slack or to [email protected]) for a chance to win an e-gift card. You can also post it to your story and tag us @uofarotaract to enter! 1 line = 1 entry, each square after that = an additional entry! Best of luck!

"My name is Adria C and this is my third year as a part of Rotary. I spent two years in Interact in high school, and this is my first year in Rotaract! I've had a lot of fun getting to know the members of the UAlberta club and I'm always down to get to know new people. In my free time, I love baking, volunteering, and spending time outdoors, as well as spending time with my four nieces. This year I've had the chance to work as the Community Service officer and I've had a blast brainstorming and planning events. I can't wait to be more involved in the club this semester!" - Adria is in her second year of immunology and infection, and also from Lacombe, Alberta! #instagramfeature #rotaract #uofa #ualberta #rotary #rotary5370 #serviceaboveself #volunteer #communityservice

Hello, my name is James. I am a third-year Biology student at the UofA Campus Saint-Jean and this is my first year on the executive team as the club's Treasurer! Some of the things I enjoy in my day-to-day life are working on mechanical keyboards, tasting various kinds of coffee and playing video games with my friends. I was involved in Interact during high school and fell in love with the culture and kind people I met in the organization. After coming to the UofA, I was met... with open arms by many previous members of the club and developed great friends that continue to support me today. As a member, the club has allowed me to broaden my horizons through their amazing mentorship program and career skill workshops that have helped me immensely and allowed me to meet talented people from areas I have never known before. All in all, the club has been an amazing experience during my time in university and I would love to see more students experience the same community that welcomed me so passionately with open arms. If you are ever in need of a group of wonderful friends and access to a broad community around Edmonton and Canada, Rotaract is one of the best places to be. See more

On Friday, Nov. 27th, we're going to be learning how to sew 3 layer masks to donate to the Mustard Seed! They are aiming to gather 1000 masks in total so that they can be used by those who may not have easy access to reusable masks. We'll be learning how to make the masks together from 6pm - 8pm. Then the event coordinator, Muskaan, will arrange a pick-up to bring them to the Mustard Seed after the weekend. The link to sign up is in our bio! Please note that basic sewing supplies will be needed: needle, thread, scrap fabric, or a machine if you have one. If you have any questions about this requirement, contact Muskaan at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
