Happy New Year! We hope you are ready to tackle 2021. This picture is of the road leading from camp....and how we feel planning for 2021 - kind of foggy! However, we have started thinking about summer and will open up applications for RAYEC 2021 at the end of January in hopes of seeing you August 8-14. Stay safe!
From the RAYEC family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
Just a huge shout out to one of 2019’s most outstanding youth leaders, Max. He is the recipient of the 2020 Bill Gibson Bursary. This bursary is given to an individual who demonstrates community involvement and leadership on a regular basis. Of course, this describes Max perfectly!!!! We are so proud of you and glad you shared your awesomeness with us at RAYEC. Good luck at University!
Flashback to Business Day 2019. Saturday is somewhat bittersweet - campers are ready to showcase their products but a bit sad to leave their friends. See in you in 2021! #rayec2020 #returning2021
We camp shirts! My collection from 2007-2019 #returning2021 #rayec2020
Wednesday is a bit of a turning point at camp. Business plans are done, campers have met with the bankers and we make lemonade!! The evening brings theme night - always some fun to be had! #returning2021 #rayec2020
Monday is typically a day where we spend a lot of time brainstorming business ideas and can be a bit stressful! Carol, the resident Eagles Nest Ranch camp dog at RAYEC 2019, was always glad to offer a bit of canine love. If you could bring your pet to RAYEC, who would you bring? Post a picture in the comments! #returning2021 #rayec2020
Well, here we are - on the cusp of what would have been RAYEC 2020 Aug 9-15. If we can’t be there, we are going to celebrate all the fun we have had in the past and look forward to 2021. If you’ve never been to RAYEC, join some of the 2019 youth leaders (pictured here) as they share stories and let you know what RAYEC is all about (Tues Aug 11@7:00pm). Hey everyone! Just checking in... hanging in there? We hope you and your families are staying safe and healthy, and also dreaming of great business ideas for the future! Check out some of these simple startups to help you pass the time this summer:
We are sad to announce that the Rotary Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship Camp set to run from August 9 to 15, 2020 has been cancelled. Although we wish we could be together learning about business and enjoying all the fun RAYEC has to offer, it is just not possible this year. We must stay home and help keep ourselves, our families and communities safe. You can stay connected with RAYEC on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@rotaryayec).... On behalf of the RAYEC Organizing Committee, we hope you and your family have a great summer. We look forward to being together again in 2021.
Hop on over... and become an entrepreneur! Youth ages 13-15 can apply at www.rotaryayec.ca ***COVID-19 IMPACT*** We will continue to take applications to the deadline, May 31, and remain optimistic. We will follow all protocols set out by AHS to determine whether RAYEC can be held in August. We promise to keep in touch over the next couple of months. Stay safe!
All of us at RAYEC hope you are doing well in these uncertain times. As of April 1, this is what we know: *We continue to take applications deadline May 31... *June 15 all campers and youth leaders are notified of acceptance (or wait list) for RAYEC in August We will follow all protocols set out by Alberta Health Services in determining whether RAYEC will be held. We love our campers, youth leaders and volunteers - health and safety is top of mind. While we still have time and remain optimistic for RAYEC 2020, our crystal ball is not working, so will just keep in touch over the next couple of months. In the meantime, keep dreaming of business and stay safe at home!
