District Governor, Carol Tichelman, visited our club (virtually) last week as part of her annual duties, to encourage the club and to present club members with awards. Receiving Paul Harris Fellow awards were as follows: PH - Andy Bains for participating in the recent Guatemala Mission.... PH+1 - Amy Badesha for participating in the recent Guatemala Mission and for donations to Rotary Foundation. PH+1 - Barry Champion for donations to Rotary Foundation. PH+3 - Blaine Bailey for participating in the recent Guatemala Mission and for donations to Rotary Foundation. PH+6 - Hugh Ellis for donations to Rotary Foundation. PH+7 - Bruce Beck for donations to Rotary Foundation. Thank you, fellow Rotarians, for "doing good" in the name of Rotary.

This group of volunteers from the three Abbotsford Rotary clubs and from the Fraser Valley Rotaract club served at the 2nd Blueberry Sale event last Saturday. Fortunate buyers were rewarded with the most beautiful, large Fraser Valley grown blueberries available. This event would not be possible without the generous support of Berryhill Foods. Funds raised are intended for local projects intended to make our community just a little better. Two more dates are set for February.... "Doing Good" in the world through the Rotary Foundation. The main purpose of GolFUN is to encourage donations to The Rotary Foundation. District 5050 was concerned about matching the $51,000 donated last year, and the impact that would have on funds available for District grants in three years. Clubs were encouraged to stretch beyond their usual $2,000 donation to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of GolFUN by donating $2,500. Our club was recognized for giving in excess of t...he the minimum level. Due to the amazing response of District 5050 Rotary Clubs and their members, a total of $101,434 U.S. was sent to The Rotary Foundation. WELL DONE, ROTARIANS!
