Come out to #Rotary tomorrow (November 13) at noon to hear a report from Margaret van Haren. Margaret spent the month of November, 2018 in Nakuru, Kenya, working as a volunteer for Ekenywa. Ekenywa's mission is to improve the future of Kenyan children by creating access to sustainable clean water, organizing sanitation & hygiene programs, facilitating education through scholarship funds and building self-expression through our creative arts program. Next week, we will have Dr. Omar Hakim come to share with us about Modern Cataract Surgery. Join us at the Galt Country Club at noon on Wednesday, October 23. Dr. Omar Hakim received his medical degree (cum laude) from the University of Western Ontario in 1987 and then completed his ophthalmology residency at the Ivey Institute of Ophthalmology in London, Ontario. He was named a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1991 and has been continually practicing ophthalmology since then. In 2006 he was appointed corneal fellow at the Queen Victoria Hospital and the Centre for Sight in East Grinstead, United Kingdom.
