The Free Reading Program Overview The Free Reading Program is a free online literacy program. The program serves children and improves literacy through fundamental skills reinforcement activities. Students can begin learning at any level and progress when they feel confident. We want students to gain the confidence and skills they need to be successful and motivated readers. The Reading Program... The Free Reading Program is a robust Kindergarten to Grade 6 online learning program. 266 learning units and over 3600 interactive learning activities are designed to engage young learners and instill confidence through a quiz and success based teaching approach. Our curriculum was originally designed by literacy experts for use in schools. The activities are based on leading educational research and the most thoroughly proven and effective teaching practices. The original content and software was developed by Essential Skills Software to run on personal computers. The program is incredibly effective and has been used in over 20,000 schools across North America. Our Impact We have over 300,000+ students enrolled in our program, in over 185 countries. Yesterday the Rotary Club of Mississauga and the Rotary Club of Brampton did something special. We we formally handed over the Certificate of Organization to the President and members of our first community-based Interact Club in District 7080. The Interact team was led by Diane Oyedeji (President). Poonam Kaur (Vice President), Chiquita Yerrmnchetty (Head of Finance), and Simardeep Dhanota (Head of communiactions) were also in attendance. Thanks to Saskia Wijngaard for orga...nizing the meeting and providing the apple cider, Dittie Voegele for hosting and Luisa Santos-Mocon for providing warmth, home baked cookies. Also, thanks to Uche Okugo,[email protected] DG Mike Lawrie, Youth Services Director Ed Fowler, David Raves and the great District Interact team for your continuous support. Rotary is definitely the winner here because these leaders of the future are setting examples now !

So excited. The first community based Interact Club "Project E" received their official certification today.
