Today the paper comes out and in it should be honouring Shannon O'Rourke as West Perth/Town of Mitchell’s 2019 Citizen of the Year. Shannon is a person that definitely needs recognition for everything she does for our community. Shannon has a big heart, kind and very humble. She is definitely the light!! Congratulations again Shannon!

To All Rotarians - I am sharing with you my 2020 initiative project. Over the past several months, I have worked with Rotary International licensing department ...to design and approve a Medal of Honor for local Rotary Clubs and Districts to award firefighters, EMT Paramedics, and Police officers that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their communities, especially over these past few months during the pandemic. Firefighters and Police Officers are typically awarded medals for valor and courage to proudly wear on their uniforms. I am proud to have created this new way for Rotary Clubs to honor and recognize local firefighters, police officers, and EMTs. If you are interested in using these medals to award your hometown heroes, please message me and I will provide approved licensed vendor information. Thank you and God Bless

Every year The Rotary Club of Mitchell asks students of Upper Thames Elementary to colour posters to decorate the town for Canada Day! This year we are taking the chance to open this Colouring Contest to EVERYONE Any resident of West Perth can participate- Kids and Adults!... Draw a poster that celebrates Canada for the residents of Mitchell. Drop the poster off at Mitchell Office Pro downtown(Hick's House Printing). OR Take a picture of it and tag us on Facebook! All entries both in person and on social media will be entered in the contest All posters are due June 28th Maximum Poster size is 24"x36". Prizes will be drawn for on July first!
