Rotary is an organization made up of 1.2 million people that are divided up into thousands of clubs in hundreds of countries all over the world. The Rotary Club of Cottam is one of those many clubs that I am very proud to be a part of and to have represented tonight. As a small group of individuals, we have been able to help eradicate polio, provide school supplies to children in Ghana and to build a bus shelter for students in our our backyard. Another very proud venture fo...r Cottam Rotary is to sponsor the wonderful people in 2nd Cottam Scouting. We have been able to work together at cooking events, Christmas tree sales, Apple Days and more. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Cottam, thank you 2nd Cottam for your help, your support and for helping to build this community we call home.

My two main reasons for being a club member are in the photo with me. Having spent most of my youth and adulthood involved in various volunteer organizations and service clubs, giving back to my community has always been incredibly important to me. Joining the Rotary Club of Cottam allows me to participate in so many great projects within our small community, as well as provide so much good to people in all parts of the world. My family gets to enjoy the benefits of events such as the horse show, support for local groups, and community projects and I can model to my own children the importance of getting involved. We’ve met some great friends along the way, too! The pandemic forced us to be creative in how we engaged with our community last year and heading into this year, but we are so excited for the days we can get out and provide for our community in person again!
