Yesterday morning, club members from the Rotary Club of Mississauga-Meadowvale contributed funds to Feed Mississauga to provide 640 meals to Mississauga residents in need. Feed Mississauga began as a special initiative to help families in Mississauga during the pandemic. Our club was able to contribute funds that were raised through charity bingo at Rama Gaming and matched by a special Rotary district grant to fund 640 hot meals. Our team was out at the Mississauga Conventio...n Centre yesterday to help deliver the meals across the community. We received helping hands from Peel Regional Police and the Mississauga Fire Department. A special visit from Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie was appreciated. Our sincere thanks go to the team at Feed Mississauga, the Mississauga Convention Centre, Peel Regional Police, Mississauga Fire Department, and Mayor Bonnie Crombie. #Rotary #ServiceAboveSelf #Mississauga #FeedMississauga #Community

What a pleasure being able to be part of the Meadowvale Rotary Club, and be able to deliver a greatly appreciated & needed donation during the Covid-19 pandemic. To go towards the installation of a security system upgrade. So you see; I got caught sneaking in the donation (LOL), and then there was the great reveal (ala Masked Singer). Armagh House is a great institution supporting spouses and their families transit from an abusive home/relationship. The chief security officer, Lynn Ward, also the Executive Director, gave me permission to use these pics.

I have the great pleasure of being part of the Meadowvale Rotary Club. I was able to deliver a much needed, greatly appreciate donation during the Covid-19 pandemic; to go towards an upgrade of their security system. So you see; I got caught sneaking in the donation (LOL, the system works), and then there was a great reveal (ala the Masked Singer). The Dam: provides services which develop, assist and mentor the youth of today in Mississauga. Sara, in the pic, is an great example, having been involved with The Dam since she was in grade 9. Now she is a leader! The Dam are people of action. I am presenting a chq from Rotary Meadowvale, to The Dam, for teen gifts at the annual The Dam Christmas event. Quite possible, many of these teens would not receive a gift at home. Rotary Meadowvale is helping The Dam to make a meaningful impact in our local community. Picture taken by Melody.
