We are planning a drive through drop off to take place on Dec 12, 2020- 10 am to 4 pm The main entrance. Social distancing and Mask wearing will be observed by all volunteers. ... In countries where polio is still a threat when a child is given the two drops of polio vaccine, one of the polio volunteer workers paints the nail on the child’s little finger with a purple dye so that other Polio Plus workers will know that this child has already been given the vaccine. Make a donation to end polio. Paint you pinky purple, Paint your children’s pinky purple. Help #endpolionow #purplepinky #worldpolioday

Many people may not remember the devastation of the Polio disease. As paralysis of muscle groups sets in, the individual would need help breathing. The Iron Lung was invented to do just that. The patient would lay in the sealed tank, with their head outside. It works by mimicking the way the body’s chest muscles and diaphragm move air into and out of the lungs. Please make a small donation to the Rotary of Windsor Walkerville end polio facebook donation campaign. #WorldPolioDay #EndPolioNow

Some children live in places that are harder to reach with polio vaccines than others. In every vulnerable country, the World Health Organization helps make sure that every child receives polio vaccines; even those who are on the move, living in conflicthttps://youtu.be/kkTVa-lOekozones or in remote communities
