Here is my new Micro Mask Design, or the Euro Mask, or the Tini. I have yet to settle on a name for the design, but you get the idea. It is slimmer at the side, more feminine and there is less heat build up over your cheeks. All fabrics are from Darrell Thomas Textiles, birch and walnut wood tags from Millie Marty & Co, and studs from Fashion4everstudio. All Ontario suppliers. The silicon and/or plastic adjusters, cotton elastics, and rust proof aluminum wire are procured t...hrough Amazon retailers located in Canada as well :) All masks are top layers of cotton, linen, or silk, with 100% cotton interfacing between, followed by linen pocket filter interiors, for that added option of protective barrier. I will be sad to see DTT move away from my neighborhood, but I am also happy, and envious of what is such a beautiful location! As everything has moved primarily online, DTT will still be my primary fabric retailer of choice, and thankfully, there will even be some semi regular city deliveries, as well as the regular shipment option! So I have noticed a lot of people are wearing their masks with the elastic twisted just before it goes over their ear. I am not sure if it is for comfort around the ear, or if it is to reduce the amount of heat on the cheek, but it got me thinking. Thus, I give you this new design which has a much more narrow side, less fabric on the cheek, and the elastic meets closely at the ear, rather than needing to be twisted. This mask in particular, with the turquoise studs from Fashion4everstudio, gives an elegant look, and almost gives the impression that I am wearing turquoise earnings. I will be getting some more faux gem studs from Fashion4EverStudio soon, including black and clear zircon! Yay!

UPDATE: Good news! I decided it was due time to invest in a new-used machine, so I won't be without should one fail. The Signer Heavy Duty 4452! So excited to try my hand at making a few belts and larger items on this bad boy :D Also. I have figured out how to repair my older Signer myself. It will require a new part and specialized tool, which should arrive end of month. I feel so empowered having figured it out myself! And let the sewing go on!
