Comrades, it is with great sadness I report that Comrade James K. Stephenson, Veteran of WW2 past away on January 14th 2021. Comrade James was 96 years old and ...a member of our branch for 66 years. Comrade James enlisted on 28th of July 1943 in the ROYAL CANADIAN ARTILLERY and then transferred to the ROYAL CANADIAN ARMY SERVICE CORP SERVICE. His date of discharge was April 3rd, 1946. Theatres of service were CANADA, UNITED KINGDOM, CONTINENTAL EUROPE. MEDALS 1939-45 STARS, FRANCE & GERMANY STAR, CANADIAN VOLUNTEER SERVICE MEDAL & CLASP. Comrade James is the father of Ken Stephenson, past president and life member of our branch. We will be lowering the flag at half mast in honour of Comrade James. The family has indicate they will be having a private family service. Lest We Forget, We Will Remember Barry Kimber President Branch #233

This bench is making the rounds. I took it from the FB page Poppy in my Window...who had borrowed it from another page. The designer or person who took this photo is unknown. A unique piece of art. #RememberThem

Today I will remember.... I will also remember this man right here, Clayton Leigh, a local who past away a few years ago. Some may remember him and his wife, Ja...ne from church or from Tai Chi. He shared many stories through the years with me. He even shared his courageous story for all to hear (feel free to follow the link). Rest In Peace Clayton... This poppy is in memory of you. http://www.thememoryproject.com//1797:clayton-currie-leigh/
