Good day All. As November 11 is just a couple weeks away, all Royal Canadian Legion Branches across the country are preparing for Remembrance Day and their respective Poppy Campaigns. In the past there was a door to door campaign conducted by the Cadets and last year in Pasadena the Girl mood Guides and Scouts Canada also assisted. Due to COVID19 this will not take place this year. As some are not aware, all funds raised by the poppy campaign goes directly to assist veteran...s and only veterans in their community. So for example if a person from Pasadena puts funds in a poppy box in Corner Brook and receives a poppy those funds stay in the Corner Brook Branch of the Legion. With all that being said we at Branch #68 here in Pasadena are asking that you show your support to your local veterans and get your Poppies in one of the many Pasadena businesses where you see a poppy tray. Sorry for being long winded but this is a very important and vital piece of information to make our Legions Poppy Campaign this year successful. Please be generous and help us help our veterans. Thank you for your time Branch #68 Royal Canadian Legion Pasadena Please share this msg on your fb page to get the msg out.
November 11, 2020 Remembrance Day Update Good day folks, there will be a town public announcement but to get the direction out early, this years Parade at the cenotaph will be a very condense version of the normal protocol. There will be a cordoned area inside the parking lot. The only people admitted inside that area will be Pasadena Legion members, veterans and invited guests. Persons will be seated observe if our social distance. Masks will be mandatory. ... In past years we have had phenomenal turnouts but this year we would please ask that persons respect our Covid 19 safety regulations and remember our fallen Comrades at home. On the 11th hour of the 11th month we will be broadcasting Live over a PA system the Last Post and Reveille hopefully loud enough for the whole town to hear. More to follow on the legion and town face book sites. Please share this msg to all persons you can in the Pasadena area. Branch 68 Royal Canadian Legion will say good by tomo to one of our finest. Comrade Berneice Lawerence will be laid to rest in Parsons pond. Berneice was a very active member of Branch 68 and also as a member of the 2959 Pasadena Army Cadet Corps where she achieved the rank of Captain in the CIC. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Stand down Captain Lawerence your duty is over.
Branch #68 would like to thank all that supported our triple fish fundraiser this past month and a half. It has been a huge success. There will be more fundrais...ers once we give everyone a break for a bit. We would like to especially thank Steers Insurance and Trudy's coffee shop for their generous donations of $500.00 each. All this could not happen without the work and dedication of our volunteers. To all the members both veterans and our civilian members a huge thank you to you all. If people could witness the laughter and fun we have preparing the meals it would let people know it is well worth the effort to get our end result. Mission accomplished as usual. Thank you all very much. See more

We have one more fish fry left and of course we have left the best for last, a healthy portion of Pan fried cod, Homefries and coleslaw with a dessert to follow. Once again from all members of Branch #68 thanks for your support and helping us to help others.
